I totally get it. I didnt like Harlem Heat because they were heels, but looking at Booker T as a solo run, he was amazing. And in retrospect Harlem Heat was an amazing tag team. And yes he is a black superhero, where the word black is the adjective describing the little black kids he inspired not an adjective solely describing his appearance.
I haven't even watched the product since the Thunderdome but Trick came across my timeline a couple months ago and I've been watching his entrance like once a week since. I _still_ haven't seen a Trick Williams match yet, but I know Booker's ad-libs by heart. 😂
Two of the best wrestling talents in the history of the industry. They both had everything (iconic movesets, great athleticism, legendary mic skills, could play the babyface or heel as easily as the other, etc).
The charisma of HBK and Booker!! Both being parts of iconic tag teams and then being single stars too. Both naturally great faces but somehow also such good heels that they surpassed 'love to hate' and became villains folks cheered for. Gives me hope!! (And I'm a romantic, so at least last I've seen both still happily married to women who've been by their side for DECADES! In WRESTLING thats extra meaningful.)
When Trick gets his call up to main roster, Booker T has to also jump on to that roster. Hearing his theme without Booker T adlibs wont be the same haha.
They should maybe think about having Booker T as Trick's "manager". In fact, they could let Book manage a whole stable full of dudes and I'd be okay with that.
WWE has succeeded in one very important department where AEW has failed. Creating new homegrown talent and improving the skills of established talent. Gunther, Dominic, Jacob, Trick, Ethan Page, Bron Breakker, Damian Priest, Chad Gable, Rhea Ripley. The list just goes on and on.
I think having multi-decade veterans helps. But also, having people willing to LISTEN and adapt in order to improve helps a ton. Madusa has spoken about how none of the girls want to train or work on their in ring game. Im sure it goes the same for the boys. I have no clue how true that all is, but if people are unwilling to do the work outside of the ring(watching tape, staying in the gym, asking for and listening to critique etc ) then it doesnt matter who backs them. Theyre never gonna get better with a Yes man at the helm.
I agree with your overall message. I will disagree with a lot of the names you mentioned being "homegrown". Several of them did there time in the Indies well before they saw NXT or the Main roster. Yes they went through the performance center, but quite a few had years of experience or an already established name before they reached the PC.
@@chill0314indys don't teach you how to be a TV star. Workrate doesn't teach you to connect with 10k people in a building. Doesn't teach you to communicate with a TV audience.
@@chill0314 No I said homegrown and "established" talent (i.e. the Indy guys). I know a lot of the guys were in the indies but WWE still deserves credit for honing their skills even further. They've come a long way from the Indie stars they used to be. And they all now have believable characters that the audience can naturally root behind or go against.
It must be amazing being hyped up by Booker T. His whole presence reminds me of late1990s - early2000s Booker T. He has that confidence, athleticism and whole aura. And you know he tried that Axe kick and spinaroni as a kid.
Trick has gone from that supporting guy to that potential main event calibre star, and you can tell the guy has been putting in all the work he can to have made it happen.
Man Booker T has left his mark in the square circle can’t no one ever take any of if from him either and he has given back to the business in so many ways that even when that day come and he no longer here we still we see his mark through all the men and woman he has trained Booker T has helped Trick so much in ways Trick might not even realize yet!
Booker T is the true success story of WCW. Sting came about first, started in the NWA, but Booker T started as a tag team with his brother, got singles push, grabbed the brass ring and RAN with it through 2 major promotions and TNA.
When Trick gets called up, Booker T need to come with him. On commentary or as Tick’s manager, either works. Imagine them together as a pair on Raw! 🔥🔥🔥
Once Trick gets to the main roster, I'll be missing Booker's ad-libs 😭 Also very humble of Trick to pretty much only credit the people around him for his success and not once himself
It's cool to me to see how far along Trick has come because personally I thought he was just going to be Carmello Hayes's sidekick but now he's over af & I can see him maybe being a future WWE or World Heavyweight Champion. Oba Femi too!
Booker T is like a black superhero to guys like me.
You could just say superhero 🤦♂️
@@06kiely I could but being a little black boy watching him with the attitude, physique, and physical ability was something I didn't see growing up.
@@willwilliams8241 that's how I felt watching Larry Bird. A Super Saltine holding his own in a sea of brothers.

He called Booker T Unc 😭
Lol right. I was a kid with the Harlem heat and now Booker is unc
Booker T is an uncle to all the black wrestlers now

Loved the Terry Taylor mention
It's literally the best part of the entrance now
Booker T's adlib enhances the entrance ten times over!!!
Trick has gone from that supporting guy to that potential main event calibre star, and you can tell the guy has been putting in all the work he can to have made it happen.
Nxt really have a godly development team and it really shows with the stars they’re creating
Booker is an absolute legend like he was the guy for the longest time in wcw even when he wasn’t positioned in the main event he was incredible
Booker T. is so clearly a great coach
Booker is Unc. One of the greatest to ever do it. Always love to hear superstars talk about breaking down film with the greats.
Booker T the Black Super Man ❤💪
Always happy to see older wrestlers helping the new talent. Lil quick peek at Prince Albert teaching in this was nice.
That “ It’s Triccccccckkkk” is my favorite part 😂😂😂😂
Booker T! Is truly one of a kind I love him abd Sharmel!!
You gotta love all this positivity. Godspeed
Booker supports Roxanne and Trick like they're his own children, and he's there to keep an eye on them...
Booker T vibing to Trick's entrance like Pat McAfee vibing to Shinsuke and Rick Boogs' entrance.
I really hope trick gets used right when he gets to the main roster he’s such a good man with so much more potential.
You can see the influence Booker has on Trick in his presentation, in his moveset.
Booker T influenced alot of wrestlers. I love how hes getting more flowers each day
Hearing praise for the Rooster is hilarious 😂

I agree. They need to remake Tricks entrance song with Booker in the background. 100%

Teick williams is definitely the new Booker T. Even Book sees it.

Trick looks like a young Booker T. Trick should thank Booker for helping him turn into a superhero
He is a modern day Booker T
It goes with the song I love it
They better add that to his entrance when he debuts on main roster.
To me, Trick isnt there yet, but he's getting so good so quick. Already ahead of where he was when he won the title the first time.
Booker T ad libs make that entrance go harder than it has any right to
