That’s always been a secret about Applebees. Mediocre to terrible food (a lot of times terrible), but there is a few hidden gems in there, and the ribs are one of ‘em.
When i make a trip to the US next year (massaschussets & florida), this channel is gonna be such a treasure to use when we go eating

I like Applebee’s and Chili’s Baby Back ribs with fries. They both are really good.

As a manager at a applebees. They need to throw away fries every 5 minutes so they stay fresh, sucks that it didn't happen this time.

Could you do a comparison video about who has the best ribs between the famous Chili's baby back ribs(I used to love their baby back ribs commercials back in the day) verses Applebee's. Their fries are pretty decent when you get them at the table, takeout food generally comes out cold
It doesn't help that every place that does takeout puts it in a plastic bag that traps steam so everything, especially fries, end up soggy quickly

Applebees is a solid place it has out lasted Fridays and Ruby Tuesdays… not my first choice but the staff is usually good and the food is solid most of the times.
I mainly only mess with their mac & cheese with honey pepper chicken tenders. But I might try these ribs.

If you want my opinion being that I've been employed in food service for over ten years, I have seen some crazy things in these restaurants. First, if you are going to eat at a establishment like Applebee's or any place similar, please don't order "to go" orders because by the time you get your food it will be cold or they do a half ass job making the "to go" orders verses "dining in". But if you must order "to go", make sure you check your food before you leave the restaurant. I don't understand how could you f up fries & they shouldn't have gave you that warm ass cole slaw. That could of made you sick unless it wasn't mayo based cole slaw, but more of a vinegarette 🤷🏾♀ But the ribs did look good tho👍

Applebees food is decent even the sides. Especially after the club. 😂 Go tell them your fries are cold and you cold slaw is warm. Ask them to redo your order or get your money back. 🙂

Most of the entrees come premade in vacuum sealed baggies and are just heated up.
They steam the ribs. The fact that they’re fall off the bone just means that they were probably ignored and left in the pan for hours after they were done rather than put immediately on the cooling rack. Admittedly they are better like this. The Coleslaw is only good for the first few hours after it’s made. It just gets soggier and less flavorful the longer it sits. I would always say that people would love it if it was made fresh to order. The coleslaw sauce they get actually tastes great. And yeah, depending on the time of day you went, those were probably some old ass fries. They’re supposed to be cooked fresh to order but if the staff that day doesn’t give a damn, they’re drop baskets at a time for no reason and the manager ain’t trying to have that much food waste, so they’ll definitely still give em to you. Especially if you’re a to-go order and ain’t gonna be sticking around in the restaurant to complain about them.

I’ve worked in restaurants like you mentioned . Most of that stuff comes prepackaged. I’m pretty positive your ribs did too , it was thrown on the grill or in a microwave with some sauce poured on it that was warmed up in the microwave too . Enjoy ✌🏾😁

Applebee's be lit, I always had a good experience there and the food was always delicious. Now one restaurant no one talks about and I guess with good reason is TGIFridays. Food was lackluster and even uncooked at times which I didn't like. Even their sweet teas with different flavors, like you can taste the syrup. Never again. 😵
Too many mom and pop joints in my city selling ribs for me to be giving my hard earned to some oversalted corporate garbage. My community is going to win every time.
When I was younger, going to Applebee's would have been considered a "treat" or something a little special. It definitely has NOT been that way for many years. Same for Chilis, Smokey Bones, etc.. any of those chain restaurants. But where else can you buy food made on an industrial scale 1500 miles away and then simply reheated when you order it? Actually, just about anywhere.

Perhaps the food had been sitting for awhile. Fries got cold and the slaw heated up from being laid on some hot ass ribs. The rib meal is probably a better “in restaurant” experience. PS: that shit looked tiny unless you’re a giant human
