    Ha!! Just saw a comment from Stefan at Lush and Salty. He helped me a lot, and he's so talented. His tanks are top notch

    Cheers from my fish room channel in Chicago, where I just subscribed to yours! Definitely put some amano shrimp and otos in there to help with the algae.

      Hey there...I subbed as well then saw your comment. I guess our feeds are similar. Hope all is well

    I think it's gorgeous 😍. You should have way more subscribers, but you just got one more from me. It took me several months to get up to 300, but I had to give away my tanks/stock because I'm moving soon. I expect your channel to grow very fast. Great job!

      @SiliconvalleyScapes  5 місяців тому +1

      It's approximately 11 gallons, the bigger fish are neon rainbows, they will be moving to larger tank soon!

      @@SiliconvalleyScapes that tanks surprisingly looks bigger than 11 maybe the way it was scaped. And the neon rainbows do they get too big or can they stay in that tank?

      @SiliconvalleyScapes  5 місяців тому +1

      @TheSunIsMyDestroyer Yes the dimensions are taller which gives it a larger appearance. The Rainbows are fully grown I've had then for about 3 years but they were previously in a larger set up, I'll be moving them out soon so they can have more space

    Only been in the hobby a few months but from what I've learned, your tank may nearly be fully stocked. I'd suggest a few more neon tetras, apparently they prefer to be in groups of 5 or more, and a cory catfish for waste cleanup. They only get a few inches long at their biggest. But that's just what I've read, I'm not pretending to actually know anything. Beautiful tank and scaping though!

      Corys dont do waste cleanup...

    • @314rhat

      @@SMac89 I suppose I should have specified "food waste" but thanks for being so quick to try and correct me.

      Thank you, I will be moving the rainbows out before I stock more fish, it's approximately 11 gallons so I should be fine with about 6 to 8 Terras and maybe 2 otos for algee control, shrimp have super low bio load so not too worried about it!

      @@SiliconvalleyScapes that sounds like it will be great! Looking forward to seeing it.

    How is this a low tech setup? You are running Co2 and what looks like a canister filter...and running a ton of chem. Its a good setup, but its the opposite of low tech. I am at a loss for what you could even add as more tech for a setup this size. Again, good tank, good scape, but definitely not low tech at all.

    • @SiliconvalleyScapes
      @SiliconvalleyScapes  5 місяців тому +1

      Low tech meaning no Co2 injection and no dosing. Only using Excell and ADA substrate system. I don't have any Co2 injection in this setup. The white thing in the corner is a twinstar for algee control. Thanks for the input!

      @@SiliconvalleyScapes Fair enough. The air stone by the canister filter in/out looked like a CO2 stone. My bad. I guess for me when I hear low-tech I think no tech. Maybe it's just a definitional difference. Again, it's a quality tank

      This is the closest I could find to a definition of what makes a low tech tank: "A low tech planted tank is an aquarium setup that leans on the minimal side in terms of equipment. They typically lack powerful lighting, CO2 injection, and advanced filtration. The emphasis here is on ease and natural balance."
