Despite the West being so competitive, I could realistically see the grizzlies with a fully healthy roster as a strong 4 seed. Obviously OKC, Mavs, and t wolves are ahead of them, but with the nuggets losing Kcp I could see the grizzlies taking the 4th spot. Especially with PG going to the 76ers and the clippers being out the picture as well. If everything goes right and they're healthy they could definitely go into the first round with home court advantage.
The grizzlies own the mavs and the okc aswell as wolves lol it took the grizzlies being depleted for those teams u mentioned to make it far as they did this season 😂
Ja took the grizzlies from being a bad team to a playoff team in his 2nd year then led them to back to back finishes as the 2nd seed in the west. All while only getting better as a player each season. The people who forget will get reminded very quickly this season why Ja is a top 5 PG in the league.
I think Memphis is such a great regular season team. They haven't proved anything in the playoffs, but having a super dynamic PG, a great two way efficient SG, a all defensive PF, and a great supporting cast is going to get you far in the regular season. I also think their team is better than any other year. They have Smart over Brooks (who was crazy there). They have Edey as a center which they haven't had since Adams was good. They have GG and Vince Williams to play wings positions and grow with the team. Overall they should be an above 50 wins team, I would bet on it, and I did bet on it
We didn't forget about Ja, we just decided to that his "gangsta" drama was too ridiculous and decided to switch focus. Ja ruined his name by behaving like a total clown before he even had the chance to really prove himself as an NBA star. Sure he has talent, but he hasn't reach the kinds of milestones that we expect from someone as hyped as he was. Maybe he'll get there, but he isn't the favorite that he used to be.

It's tough to project where Memphis will end up in a loaded West, but between Morant's return and the young players that developed during that lost season, it's not hard to envision the Grizzlies finishing in the top 4.
the problem with Morant is his explosiveness....now hear me out. the most games he has played was his rookie year at 67 when he caught a lot of people off guard. now that same explosiveness is just a detriment ie like a guard named derek rose. even tho peek Rose did win MVP, once the injuries started mounting up he was never the same. so Ja is averaging 60 games a year (if you dont include his first and last year) but if you include those years he averages 51 games a year. Memphis showed that they they cant win without Ja (except for year 3 i think they went 20-5 without Ja) but they had Tyus Jones which in my opinion is highly underrated backup PG. and if you try to say well he can just try and not be as explosive then you are looking at a career 31% three point shooter.
Well Derrick rose had a way worse landing style than Ja does which lead to more injuries, and Ja's injuries seem not nearly as severe as Roses were, I do wish the best for him and hope it stays like that
You typed all of that for no reason just say you don’t like him I would respect your opinion more first of all the man can shoot better than Derrick Rose ever could is he more explosive? the next evolution is gonna be seeing Ja play with multiple 3 point shooters on the court with him DB's been so valuable in the past, but replacing him with Vince Will, and eventually GG is gonna do numbers on the offensive end
Ja really reminds me of Russ/Drose that crazy athleticism and first step speed to the rim and not giving a single fuck whos there to meet him along with really good playmaking, if he just works on hes jumper and puts more eff on D bro can be in the best pg in the league talks after steph retires
