"I don't want to overcommit to the quest" casually quests 18 to 6 Also I have a note for the Klingon subtitles: at around 53:17, when gaining XP, the 4th bullet point is "1 XP if each surviving player's threat is 40 or less," not "1 XP for each surviving player whose threat is 40 or less." So it looks like you gave yourself 1 extra XP!
Awesome job again Colin. These videos are top-notch and I love this game. And you’ve got the whole revised Ered Mithrin campaign cycle you can do after this!
15:40 Could you have placed the 5 progress you earned onto the two Lost Island cards in the staging area (4-1)? Then you could spend the 4 on one of them to peek at it before deciding which one to Travel to.
FYI, I don't think you can use Legolas' ability when you can't place progress on the Quest Card. Active locations absorb progress that would be placed on the quest, but since you can't place progress on the quest using Legolas then there's nothing to be absorbed by the location.
I disagree if I have to place the progress on a location not the quest i feel like that should work. I'll see if there is a ruling but not sure it matters much we killed questing most of the time!
Here's a quote from the FAQ: FAQ p. 12 wrote: Q: If there is an active location with the text "Immune to player card effects" when Legolas participates in an attack that destroys an enemy, do I place 2 progress on the active location or the quest? A: No. When Legolas' ability would put progress on the current quest, if there is an active location, it puts progress on that location instead. If that location is immune to player card effects, it ignores Legolas' ability. Therefore, no progress would be placed on the active location or the current quest. The question is about an immune active location but it does include a portion about progress that would be placed... In this case there is no progress that would be placed (since it can't be placed) so there is no progress for the location to absorb.
Yes, but the wording makes it clear that it requires progress that would be placed on the quest first, if there's no progress being placed, then there's no progress for the active location to siphon off.
I believe that interpretation would imply that progress from questing could not be applied to the active location. The rule book refers to the active location as a buffer to the quest card. If the active location is immune, then it would repel the progress. If the active location is not, then it will absorb any progress sent it’s way until full and then the quest card would repel the progress. My two cents.
Thanks colin
So much fun!!

@PickleTheHutt but that's about a location that is immune not a quest card. That is different i think
