- As you will already know grading of varicocele is very very important for the correct treatment of this condition. Many times the patient would get worried when the ultrasound report shows a high-grade varicocele. It is very important to understand that apart from the ultrasound report which may have variable methods of grading. it is very very important to understand the grade of the varicocele by a physical examination by a doctor in the clinic and also to see if it is actually causing any clinically significant side-effects which need immediate treatment. Just on the basis of an ultrasound report neither can the treatment of varicocele be decided correctly nor the decision to do a surgery can be taken. Many patients may have incidentally detected varicocele and in these patients usually no surgery or treatment is required apart from a few lifestyle changes.
In case you have been diagnosed with varicocele you should go through this video and try to correlate the entire grading by a clinical examination by an experienced andrologist.

Sir usually grade 2 does not decrease the size of testis.
