Tsuki no Sango being relevant is so funny but I can't even complain cause I love the story so much Shining sea and singing coral, two hearts filled with love and yearning for each other's well being I wonder if that's why, even something as faint as the remnant of footprints was enough for her to answer the call

Ciel doesn't defeat Arcueid in her Remake true end. She manages to destroy Arcuied's Lumina form with Star of Calvaria, but Arcueid literally shows up completely fine a few seconds later.

She has some abilities similar to Archetype: Earth but can only use them unconsciously, whereas Archetype: Earth has full control over her powers and can use them consciously. Not to mention, as pointed out above regular Arcueid just pops out completely fine once the Lumina is gone so she wasn't defeated either.
How incredibly disappointing Kingprotea proved to be a much more stronger and difficult foe than this sad excuse of Archetype we saw here. I'mma just pretend this never happened.
The whole point is that she was sandbagging because she didn't want to truly go through the Notes-style extiction the Moon summoned her to carry out. We're outright told by both Ciel and Hakuno that a serious Arcueid can never be defeated.

What matters is that they are FUN AND INTERESTING CHARACTERS and their interactions lead to engaging and interesting moments which they very much do.
