  • Hardware capabilities and limitations still dictate the vast majority of industrial software.
How can we move from the status quo in the modern factory, where software is bound to a specific device, preventing scalability, to a future of portable software across form factors? How is embedded Linux powering industrial automation?

Okay video, but I think that Yocto was shown here in slight disservice, to say at least. To be fully fair, there should be also available documentation how to sculpt Ubuntu Core to our needs while maintaining independence from Canonical outside snap-based base.

I initially thought "oh that's nice, they are giving a shout-out to yocto and pointing out the pros and cons so you can choose what's best for you".
This video: "Yocto is trash and has no leadership"

What’s the best Linux laptop for 2022? I don’t want to use a laptop from a non Linux company, so I wanna use a laptop that’s made just for Linux. Does anyone know the best, and affordable Linux laptop?

You might want HP or Dell. Their laptops work with Linux really well

Why do you force people to use Snap? (No hate, I just don‘t see the logic behind this)

Yeah, even Flatpak would be better.

      They don't force...

nobody forces you. you can use ubuntu without using snaps at all. linux mint does it.

@@blendingsentinel4797 Flatpak and Snap are not comparable and don't solve exactly same issues.
