What you need is a crap load of peer pressure and much bigger balls!
I have only been doing mountain biking for 4 months and just a few weeks back I sent it off a 4 meter high double black diamond wooden skinny drop on my hard-tail.
It is kinda crazy but with strong determination, a bit of peer pressure, lots of confidence in yourself, and a super heavy sack, you will be amazed at what you can do on your bike!

I love drops. I can't seem to brave a gap jump yet, but drops up to about 4ft high don't seem to bother me. One of my favorite trails has a northshore style skinny with a 3ft drop at the end, and it's REALLY fun, but I have to hit the brakes hard as soon as I'm on the ground because it's quickly followed by a long gap jump!
    Great vid!

Thats actually why I started building features. We really dont have anything to ride where I live beside XC trail (incredible xc trail) so I started building things to progress my skills! Id say get yourself a couple small ramps and head to a park! Youd be amazed with how much you can progress with 2 small jumps.
