About to play some at the harbor soon and enjoyed your vlog! Im wondering at 7:36 if you put in a c bet if you would have got that 7 paired 7 to fold and the other guy may have followed.
Hey thanks for the support! Best of luck at the harbor! So at 7:36 I think a c bet there could have got the job done if I chose a bigger sizing. Looking back I think its a good idea to at least take a stab at it when the first player checks it to me.
2:45 I like a 3bet here with AQo. It's not the greatest multiway hand and it's a strong hand to 3bet and play a larger pot in position vs the raiser, or take down 5bb preflop.
Good vlog, most of the tough spots you were in could have be dealt with increased aggression. Others mentioned 3 betting with AQ, but as played I would not fold. I would probably raise big or jam depending the opponents stack. His weak call to a small jam is all I need to blow him off the pot. A4 hand, is player dependent, I would fold or raise. I would prefer to raise players who would stab at pots with weak hands and fold to solid or nitty players. Ak is just a fold on bad flops that hit your opponents range hard and they lead into you. If you add some non nutted raises to your opening range like 89s or 78s, your opponents would think twice about attacking bad flops. Keep grinding Evan!
DOUG! Thanks for the advice, its clear I need to be more aggressive but im not implementing it into my play. Something I AM going to do next time. Thanks!
Yea totally agree. Based on how the hand played out and what other people are saying in the comments. A 4bet when the action is back on me makes a lot of sense.
On the AKdd hand, you should be raising much bigger preflop in position in a straddled pot after there are multiple limpers. Using the rule of 4 or 5x + 1 BB per limper, you can bump it up to $35-$40 easily.
Hey Ian thanks for the Advice! I was actually wondering about this because I always just go an extra 5. I think 35-40 makes a ton of sense when there is a straddle and two people call the 6 dollar straddle. Thanks!
You're good at making these videos. Good audio and good graphics. It's a fun watch in between shoveling snow. I would have snap called with that AQ. That's nearly 3 to 1 odds and you're really only dominated if one of your opponents has AA or KK. You'd still have a puncher's chance if they have AK or QQ. If they both have something other than those four hands then you're definitely getting odds.
Thank you for the continuous support! And thanks for the feedback on the AQ hand. I totally agree. The small stack who went all in shouldn't really have AA or KK especially with how active he was. Definitely gonna work on not over folding next time. Thanks!
@@ESPPoker did you have your phone on the table turned sideways? Or on the rail in some kinda holder? I’ve always wanted to start vlogging but didn’t wanna get in trouble.
@@hatttricktv5908 So I had my phone leaned against my chips haha so it wasn't that obvious. And you should start vlogging! The worst thing that has happened to me is a dealer has told me to put my phone away and I did that's all
The way people at MGMNH play, I would have called both of the river bets when you had AK. You still had a ton of equity with 2 overs and 2 pair doesn’t make sense in either of those boards.
Hey thanks for the comment. Personally I think MGM is a nicer poker room with a fair amount of action (depends on the table), but I kind of like the action and the atmosphere at HS a little more. Both are great properties. I just played at Maryland Live last weekend so I hope to get that vlog out by next week
For sure the property is really nice and the action was indeed good. Thankfully I got there around 11:30am last Saturday so the wait time wasn't too bad!
Thanks

Ethan my guy I couldn’t agree more. I need to expand my 3bet range especially against opponents who are raising frequently. Thanks for the advice!
@@ESPPoker 3betting is so profitable especially in the low stakes, in part bc you'll almost NEVER see a 4bet.

I personally 4 bet shove the AQ hand

MGM National Harbor is my home turf. Thanks for putting this out. I hope those speed cameras on 295 didn't get you.
HAHA thanks for the comment! Thankfully there was enough traffic that everyone was slowing down around me before the speed cameras.

@@ESPPoker Any time. Your videos have excellent production value.
Dude we should meet if you ever play at mgm
Hey man! MGM is kind of a drive for me but if I plan on going back there I will make sure to post about it before I go!

The busted backdoor As4s you had 2 key tells. V1 checks and V2 has calling chips NOT raising chips. Bet-Fold IMO
Agreed, need to be more aggressive. Appreciate the feedback
Good job in and out
Thanks!
You are doing a great job man! Keep it up!
Thanks Chris! Looking to end the losing streak
surprised they let you record or maybe just didnt see you. They dont allow it for some silly reasons.
I keep it pretty lowkey when I film at new places. Maybe just the dealers that day were chill!

I’ve played with you multiple times at horseshoe. How would you rate MGM vs HS. I’ve only played at MGM a few times. Good luck.

@@RodJeez Hmm in terms of action, and this is just my opinion, I'd say Maryland live 1st, and MGM + HS tied for 2nd. Really just depends on the table
@@RodJeez For sure! I think the Thursday high hand is something insane like 1000 every 20 min
MGM National Harbor is nice and usually the action is very good. Hope you did not have to wait long (weekend wait lists are long).

I would have called that all day long. I actually play at MGM all the time. 3-4 times a week.
First like first comment😎

Just the way he showed the Jack you can tell that he is not that good
