He says that she just has to be close friends with tessa, and love tessa as much as he does. They ask if he's found that special girl and he says yes, and says that she's into the sport as well so she understands.
They'll most likely get together again someday...just give them time. Although, who knows, maybe it's one of those relationships with a lot of romantic feelings, but just never pans out. Careful with this "god" stuff. If there's a deity, it's pretty unlikely that, with probably several trillion stars and planets to watch over, that she's specifically concerned with Ice Dancing in Canada. Now, her specifically guiding AMERICAN skaters, that I can see. Our currency says "In God We Trust" - that's even speaking for the non-Christians, so god has to be impressed. The down side of having god on our side is that, if she's pulling strings in our favor, that means she's also responsible for times we fail (I say "we" even though I'm not the one doing the skating. I'm PRAYING for them, which is just about as important). But if god pulls the rug out from under us I don't really know what we'll do. Americans aren't used to god crapping on us.
