I must disagree. In the 11 years I have lived here it has only gotten worse. Crime is up, OD's are up, shootings are up despite weapon and magazine bans and homelessness has skyrocketed.
Even more frustrating is that it's not just Seattle seeing this trend but every major city in this state. The laws they put in saying police can't chase suspects, saying police can't take ppl to jail for drugs, policies of releasing violent juvenile offender's only to have to arrest them the next week for the same type of crime and soft punishment has lead us to ppl leaving Washington. I avoid Seattle now. I use to love going up there and exploring the city parks and local businesses but now I won't go into the city without a way to protect myself and that's only when I have to go up there.
