Why skilled people have too much subs, I'm literally sad for you wishing your million subs, your wildlife videos is just wow💕😍💯🤗 Wildlife videos are raw or colour graded??
Hey Man, what a great video! I have plan owning this lens to my A6400 for budget sport photography, what do you think of this lens for that purpose, have u try to shoot sport like football or soccer ? Thank You 😊
Hey thanks man. I filmed a few of my kids' rugby games last year. Most of them on the Sony 70-200, but this one was with the Tamron 70-300... ua-cam.com/video/Sd_T2qC0Cvo/v-deo.html. If you're shooting outside during the day it'll get the job done for sure. the 18-300 would be worth a look too
Good video, any chance you can do one showing how far out you were from some of those animals and surfers? I understand that you were zoomed in but how far away from everything were you? Hard to tell if you are 30 yards and zooming or 400 yards and zooming. Can you break those down at all for me or maybe do a separate video? Even a short video? Thanks. 🙌
The surfers were around 150m, the shots across the bay were 500m+ and the zoo totally varied-anywhere from a couple of metres to around 80. Hope that helps.
Brilliant Video, many thanks for sharing Ben, Tamron Lens Are Really Taken The Stage, I Believe The Tamron 150-500mm Is Quite A Lens For Sony Cameras. I like To Try It On A Nikon D500, I Think It Would Be Amazing, Unfortunately I Believe It's Only For Sony Cameras At Present. 🇬🇧
Great video Ben, really helpful. I'm wondering how far are the waves from the beach? I'm planning to buy a telephoto for surf film & photography and this seems a right fit, but I don't know if it will give the distance that I need, I think the further I'll be shooting are 200 or 300 meters from a wave. Best!
Hi Ben, Nice video ans I must say that we are both fortunate that we live in country that offers such wonderfull nature. I use a Sony NEX 6 and am looking for a lens that offers more reach so how are you getting on with that Tamron now that it is nearly two years on. Cheers, Glenn from down South
Yeah definitely can't complain with NZ! I ended up switching out the lens for the 18-300mm and when I need that kind of reach it does the job nicely for what I need. I've got a video on that-maybe check it out if you haven't seen it already
@@ben.buchanan I was looking at the 18-300 I use a10-18mm, 50mm and 55-210mm so I have a gap between 18 -50 and I need to go beyond my 210 so the 18-300 may just do the job. You ever find you may need a 400mm. I shall check the video and thanks.
Hii sir, please suggest me....i have a6400 sony, and i want to purchase a zoom lenses. And m cnfusd that which lense should i purchase between sony 18-105 and tamrom 70-300 . Please suggest me
Hey man. They’re really different lenses so it totally depends on what you want to shoot. Tamron have just released an 18-300mm so that could be worth a look
Damn great video bro! These visuals are incredible.
Cheers Foamie! Appreciate you bro
this video made me Buy this lens
Brilliant video Ben. I also use the Tamron 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3 Di III RXD on my Sony A7Rii in crop mode give me great results. Thanks for sharing
Thanks Dave 👌
What a perfect video. This is EXACTLY what I was looking for. I want a telephoto for video and was between this and the Sony version with OSS.
Nice, happy to help! I’m doing one for the 18-300 as well so that’ll probably be worth a look too 😜
Amazing shots! Love the monkeys the most
Thanks mate, too kind

😂 cheers bro. Not too fussed about the subs but appreciate it! A few tweaks to the curves but definitely wouldn’t stretch to call it a grade
For 4 minutes, I accidentally watched this in the default 720p setting that UA-cam defaulted to. I actually own this lens.
1080 in big screen...its awesome...
Very good sound design!
Appreciate that!

Thanks mate. The surfer at 1:28 is around 140m offshore. At 1:40 they're around 450/500m. Hope that's helpful!
I love your lens review videos!! Are any diferences between the 70-300 to the 18-300?
I found them pretty similar
Beautiful stuff
Thanks mate!
How far were you from the sparrows? And how close were you zooming?
I plan to do wildlife photography and videagraphy as well.
Probably around 10m away at about 220mm, give or take

Handheld? Omg could u tell us how to hold that stable footage
Lean on things, use the EVF when you can and hope for the best 😅

Hi this support for sony a6100
It's an e-mount lens so you can use on the 6100 for sure. That camera isn't stabilised though so handheld video is gonna get pretty shaky
What picture profile did you use?
PP5 with a few mods. James Matthews did a vid on his PP about year ago, basically that
how do you not have 10k subs????????
😂
PP OFF ?
PP5 customised
How fast the AF for video?
Pretty fast man, no complaints
@@ben.buchanan fast like tamron 28-75/2.8??
@@thommykusbin8338 I've never used the 28-75 so I can't compare sorry
Wow
looks sharper than 18-300
I haven't found too much difference tbh. I'm making a vid on that lens at the moment 😉
@@ben.buchanan that’s great. I am looking forward to your comparison.
