Australia used to be self sufficient. Now our PM's are too busy brown nosing that it's cost us our independence.
I don't support liberal or labour, but Albanese is way out of touch with reality. Just today I saw on the news he is glad to have spent 20 million of taxpayers money on buying electric trucks. No doubt from Japan or China. Now wouldn't that money have been better spent on setting up an electric vehicle industry here in Australia? Give our people jobs and help support our economy. But no that takes effort and a few years work. Election is next year. Albanese may not (andi hope not) be in after that, so he wants the short-term limelight, accolades and political pointscoring now. Instead of starting something that would be good long-term for our country
Yes we were self sufficient and then the current generation decided they want bargains and everything cheap so they can live like millionaires and now there's no jobs in Australia because of all our money is going to China , Not to mention all the environmental damage that is doing.

The reality is nobody is self sufficient, no nation we are all interlocked and have to rely on one another.
As much as agree with the guy on certain things he’s also full of many contradictions, i mean the language he’s speaking isn’t Australian, his name Isn’t Australian, the vast majority of his fellow Australians are not native Australian, he’s countries national sports aren’t Australian, the fuel is his car isn’t Australian and his national flag isn’t Australian
the list goes on and to attempt to quote the USA constitution at the end is plain bizzare. The us constitution did indeed start off nice but it’s a copy and paste from the English bill of rights and for nearly two centuries it only bore in mind the white man and his equality to his fellow white man and not that of natives or any other group or gender

Regardless of who is on our coins, unfortunately in a few years it probably wont really matter. We will be 99% cashless. I really hope not. Cash is still king for the unbanked, teaching kids the value of money, gift giving, power/internet outages, avoiding surcharge or processing fees, annonymity in payments etc. I use cash everywhere i can but unfortunately it seems we are heading to a cashless society
The only reason they want to do this is so money is in the pocket of the corporations not in the pockets of everyday people. Instead of having your money in your wallet you've got it in some corporations wallet who's getting interest on it

Yes Bob , what is your point ? Australia is 26 million people strong and a huge country . We need One billion people self sufficient developing & building our Owen energy , equipment, infrastructure suitable for our own needs ,climate, waterways , a equipped defence force defending the complete coastline .Then we need to rewrite the Australian constitution and become a Republic. Can you name me one country that new peace after the British left that became a democracy?? The only countries that are together is the members of the British commonwealth’s using their own constitution and the West Minister system of government, Our brothers and sisters in the South Pacific & ASEAN Countries . We look to each other and a future for our kids . Out of courtesy and respect , that’s all we use the Royal Family because they established British identity, values , rule of law , religion, in Australia from nothing , We’ll , What was here before 26 Jan 1788????? What about Ireland mate? Ireland's a very peaceful and stable country now. Most of the countries that Britain left weren't stable at the time, like the countries in Africa. It's not really a fair comparison to Australia. Australia's stable now and getting rid of the pretty minimal British involvement we have isn't going to destabilise the country.
