OVERLANDING AUSTRALIA - EAST COAST AUSTRALIA ROAD TRIP - BRISBANE TO MACKAY - OFFROAD ADVENTURE

Part Three of our overlanding road trip along the East Coast of Australia from Brisbane to Mackay by 4WD takes us into the Kroombit Tops National Park.
We take the road less travelled by 4x4 and visit the Kroombit Tops National Park lookout with views over the Boyne Valley.
From here, we get serious by taking the 4WD Only "Razorback Track" from Kroombit Tops to Biloela, when the conditions get a little slippery thanks to the rain.
After a night in Biloela, we visit the historic "Kilburnie" homestead just to the north of Biloela to get a massive history fix, as well as a guided tour of the property.
From Kilburnie, we continue west to Banana, before heading north with the rain following us.
We end this part of the journey, camped by the side of a small creek with red wine in hand.

In July 2020, we hit the road from Brisbane and took the roads less travelled as we headed north to Mackay.
Normally, the trip would take only 12 hours, but on this trip, we took eight days!
