- Is this WESTERN QUEENSLAND'S BEST FREE CAMP? I sure think so!
Located on the banks of Cooper Creek, about 12km's east of Windorah in far Western Queensland, this spot holds a special place in my heart, and I find it hard to drive past this spot without stopping and rolling out my swag for the night.

Bloody Hell, that looks like a great place to camp. Plus a place to fish, does not get much better in my book. I live in Wyoming, and not a lot of creeks or rivers to camp by. Stay safe. P.S. Even when I cook at home, I try to keep it too one pot. Great set up you have.
Just spent 2 night camped there on our wey to do the Dinosaur Trail. Drove up from the River land in SA. Great spot. Nice production.

It's a big river mate, you can't miss it. There are a heap of different camp sites along both sides of the river. Enjoy your camping.
