Wren has the best immune system worldwide damn
You are talking about his shoulder right?
@@scpgypsyman He also has put a lot of things in his mouth over the years that he should not have.
Mark Rober and Michael Reeves are the perfect example of viewer satisfaction channels xD they post so little but ALL of their content is gold!!!!
also captain disillusion
@@taliesinriver vsauce!
For mountain biking, a hardtail (only front suspension) is pretty good for most rides and always cheaper, but a full sus (rear and front suspension) is useful if you’re doing more advanced technical riding, also a lot of nicer suspension has lockout function specifically for climbing to prevent energy loss
my old fezzarri diamond back had a lockout with a buffer tube in the center rail. super convient
Did I hear wren say satysfing render? Another satysfing video is coming up? Those two previous ones with your competition are so fun!
I think it was in reference to his Attack on Titans video.
@@BaldMancTwat it sounded like he was about to borrow something for new video. It was already shot after they released wrens aot vid.
😁😉
@@asherdipps A wild Wren appears!
"I bent my leg on my sister's face" - on the train trying so hard to hold my laughter in!
I throughly enjoy your banter on the podcast! Thank you for (unknowingly) keeping my company while I embalm!
Embalm?!???
"and then he bent the bone, errrt!" Niko:dies
Speaking from over 10 years of mountain biking, racing, XC and downhill, rear suspension makes a massive difference and is worth every penny. I had hardtail bikes for a long time and finally forked over the money for an enduro bike with a rear coil shock and 170mm on the front fork, it really makes a huge difference. With rear suspension and a good front fork you can take TONS more speed into terrain that previously seemed sketchy and handle jumps and drop to fairly flat landings with no problems. There are different rear shocks for different things, it sounds like Niko is looking for something smaller and stiffer in the rear if he won't be hitting huge jumps and extremely technical terrain at high speed. You can also hit switches or knobs on nicer rear shocks to tighten them for hill climbs. Bikes are expensive, but if you get a nice frame and decent suspension to start, it will last a long time (assuming it is taken care of properly). Most other components are fairly cheap and easy to replace yourself. Just remember to get your suspension serviced! Happy riding! (PS: Use PinkBike, great resource)
Halo is my favorite series of all time. I love that Wren and Matt get hyped about Halo too...I love it.
Yes Halo2 was the best.
Qué épico es escuchar al equipo de Corridor en español.
“Una equi”... el día que se enteren que equis es singular y plural.. jajaj
Those wren stories were harrowing! Had to pause the podcast and take a break a half dozen times to get through that segment, so unsettling
Niko is all of us as Wren explains his injuries. ahhhh
I live on one of those mountains :D It's cool seeing places I go regularly in some of your videos.
So hyped for the LZ videos.
Niko! When you brought up the paragliding I had a flashback to the Node videos where you guys learned to fly!
I wouldn’t be mad if all the podcasts were this long🤷🏻♂️
Wren can I say you sharing your story and experinces with pain. i suffer from alot of the same exact stuff wren is talking about and it can be very debilatating. i use massage ball and theregun and have literally every symptom he mentioned. so its really comforting to know you also experinces this stuff and are able to adapt and live a healhty life! thanks wren!
avoiding doing my accounting with this :) so thanks for the extra long episode, all the better to procrastinate with
Bro, man just explained how a motor works better than my entire school life
😂 I love how everyone's like Niko, 'there's still time' for a bad bicycle accident.
"Breaks collar bone"
Corridor Digital presents "Osmosis Jones".. The part of Bill Murray will be played by Wren...
When Niko asked what ossify means, I was like "C'mon Niko, it sounds pretty obvious". But actually sounds obvious just to me, because my first language is portuguese, and the portuguese translation for bone is osso.
Same here but from French, bone = Os
Ha love the repair segment. My OneWheel just took a dump on me yesterday - I have to replace the 6 directFET chips responsible for powering the motor. But I got almost 4000 without any issues!
I'm an engineer that has worked in the design and fabrication of various class 3 medical devices and the risk analysis for the device design, process and user use is usually calculated on the severity of the clinical effect, the probability of it occurring, and the probably of it being detected and prevented before it happens.
It's often the most tedious part of the design and process development process because you just spend weeks asking the question "what if".
What if your supplier sends us the wrong material, and it's not biocompatible and we use it in the device, well, the user gets infected, doesn't die, but we have a lot of checks to make sure this doesn't happen. Very low risk.
What if the operator makes a critical error during the manufacturing process? Device doesn't function properly, user dies, and we don't have many checks to make sure this doesn't happen. Very high risk, we need to perform risk mitigation steps now.
Me encanta que hablen español!
Didn't expect to hear about Tucker Gott here=) Wholesome.
I too have lived all over the place Wren...I went to 27 different schools growing up.
27 jesus christ
The single pedal driving part reminded me of "I HAVE TO DISABLE THE BRAKES!!!"
Hell ya brother!!
Niko asking : " is breaking bones sort of a routine for you? " just made my day so much better
I laugh at your LA "mountains" being a Colorado native.
Ha I did too
And they also talk about their mountains the same way Coloradans do...interesting.
Same here as a Utah native. LA mountains are glorified hills in comparison.
You should contact Condors for a test ride of their new “Metacycle”. It’s a electric motorbike. Would love to know what you guys think as I’m thinking to grab one for myself.
It has to do with the geometry of most two wheeled vehicles, bikes and motorcycles, they get more stable the faster you go.
For Wren at the 19:00 topic. Look into "deer horns" or "deer whistles", they were used in the country when I was a kid (almost 3 decades ago) so idk if it even is manufactured in 2021 or if it would work for the purpose of alerting cars but it would give you the ability to have your bike make a noise.
Just waiting for the Corridor video to come out..
Wren, for your knots ...
Use your massage stick, by applying a gentle pressure to the belly of the levator muscle, located in the superior angle of your scapula, constantly, for about two minutes.
You should feel the muscle giving, when your brain sends the signal, "hey, there's too much pressure here." Follow this simple relief technique, by drinking a glass of water, to drain the toxins, which you've just released, by softening the knots.
Hope that helps!
Here from Asia. Motorcycles, bikes, etc. all go between lanes here mostly because bike, motorcycle lanes are just on major roads. They would even go up the sidewalks when traffic is dense. The street is literally dangerous for everyone.
The only thing with the near-by mountains are that they always seem to be a blaze... Literally bruning 😅
greetings from Czechia!
Greetings!
Man I saw someone blow out their bead on their onewheel riding trails prepping for Wheel Scorchers last weekend. Shits crazy.
you guys should try downhill mountain biking, its super rad.
Rear suspension is amazing in rock gardens on MTB trails anywhere else it's overkill honestly a nice tall tire wall with a low psi in the tyres is more than enough suspension for everyday riding
Lol "uno equi" xD. Just so you know Jake, it's always "equis", singular or plural. Still really fun to hear you guys speak my native language, so please keep going if you can.
Niko I rode only front suspension mountain bikes for like 5 years, I upgraded to a full suspension one for about 2 years and I can never go back. Unfortunately it got stolen so I haven't been able to afford a new one for a long time but seriously, full suspension is infinitely better! And as for the argument that sometimes it can be harder, for example when going uphill, that is definitely true, but most rear suspension is adjustable and you can turn it "off" or "on".
everybody has their own childhood bike stories.
Took a jump, was gonna do some weird handlebar turn trick but only turned it 90° and did nothing else, landed and flipped over the bar with the whole bike following me and slamming the handle into my chest... Didn't go to hospital.
Didn't learn to ride a bike until I was an adult. Now I ride one every day.
Unless you are Niko
Ik this podcast is kinda old at this point, but I’d recommend getting front suspension and seat suspension. Rear suspension on a bike isn’t as effective as people think in my opinion
That's how the doctor re-set my arm after i fractured it, just came in, bopped it across his knee twice said "looks good" and set about casting it. Most nauseating feeling ever.
Rear suspension on a mountain bike makes a big difference
Sketch/Stake Analysis
Dangling!
54:40 I'm listening to this on my PC with speakers, in the other room tweaking my printer.. and suddenly I hear my country, lol :p
Also Niko (and anyone else wondering about bikes), rear suspension have to be pretty stiff in order not to lose a lot of energy output by you / a motor, since if it's very soft, the bike bounces up and down a lot which wastes energy. A better (and much cheaper) alternative in terms of comfort, might be to get a seat-post with suspension built in.
Niko, to answer your question about rear suspension on a mountain bike vs a hardtail, it's a decent amount of difference, especially when moving quickly. If you're going down a trail going quickly a good rear suspension can make a bunch of small bumps feel significantly smoother and give you a lot more confidence to keep the bike in control. At lower speeds I feel the difference is generally less significant unless you're riding some really gnarly technical sections. I think your best bet is to just try it yourself, rent a full suspension bike on saturday, then a hardtail on sunday, take them to the same trail and give it a shot. Enjoy the process, good luck.
With the level of Wren's friends.. I keep thinking he's an OP engineer if he didn't do all the Vfx
Splitting lanes is a thing in New Zealand ahah I reckon everyone does it
For Niko's question: They have rear suspension on mountain bikes that can "lock" the hydraulic system so that it becomes a hard tail. Makes it easier to climb. Otherwise mountain biking without a rear suspension is not great.
Commenting on here about the 56:00 mark to remind Wren that his AoT video is at 4.2 millions and 260k likes.
keep the podcast long pls,
My father had a hobby of winding slot car motors by hand. His car would always be the fastest on the track, but would only last one or two races before burning out.
greetings from India!!
DUDE how's pandemic going there? Hope ya'll alright and safe
Down hill makes a huge difference with a full suspension mtb
12:50 it took a little over a year for that
I gasped on that
jake's a goddamn prophet
I remember when I was in Kindergarten I was out for recess and it was time to go back inside. I was playing with a Little Tikes wagon and instead of putting it away normally I decided to stand in it and surf it down the hill which at the bottom of it was a fence and I smashed my face right into the metal pole in the fence and busted my head open. I think everyone has a childhood injury story lmao.
Wren is the heart of this channel
Niko, I like the philosophy of only spending money on things between you and the ground, however, puget systems break that for sure 🤭
If someone's looking for a really cool electric bike, Vintage Electric Bikes does some really cool stuff in Santa Clara. Prices are high too though, starts at like $4k, I think, but they look aaaaamazing.
the whole crew: byyye !
me: wait wren isn't gonna scream this time? :c
wren: 3...2..1
me: c:
Wren, I would have gone with pushing someone on a swing, over pushing on a capstan. But it still works. As an aside to cool things from the past is the ghile-tine channel returning? I want to see things get chopped.
Diese Podcast guut, viele Kamele wert
Has captain disillusion been on a corridor cast yet
Ey bro rear suspension will still steal energy from a motorized bicycle over uneven terrain. I hear you guys like taking your electric vehicles up small mountains; you will definitely notice a jerk and wobble from the motor when hitting bumps and landing jumps.
Did they add the audio to Jake playing? I remember experiencing it with no audio at first
Hey, just want to mention, the "Most Used Equipment" link is broken, it is re-directing to some other website?
I need the Matt commercial
I can appreciate the urge for more EV's, personal/commuter/public, at the same time, there needs to be a better solution for the battery. If Wren could do a video on lithium and cobalt mining, the current controversies that NEED resolved there, and what better long term battery solutions are in the works, I think it would be pretty eye opening for everyone.
You guys need time stamps.
R.I.P. Grant Thompson.
R.i.p but why are u saying it now in a corridorcast comment?
@@n0rmql_122 they mentioned him.
Where is Steve the landlord? I've been missing a Steve story.
Once upon a time wren have good shoulders.
You should see the electric scooters (proper scooters not these little ones for hire). They like to drive them without lights on even at night ON the pedestrian walkways… You can’t hear them and you can’t see them either!!
Niko E-MTB build series coming soon!
let's do a Spanish version
Wow, prophetic, NIko falling off the bike.
Food keeps getting smaller and more expensive by volume. One day at this rate all food will be Lego size.
Nano noms.
What ebike did he get?
wren...what? jake is right you are a health care nightmare. I thought I am a crazy person.
Today I found out that Grant Thompson passed. Wow.
Buy a proper full suspension mountain bike. Specialized or Trek. Without question, that's the way to do it.
What is an ounce in civilized units?
The Attack on Titan video is now the most viewed on the channel.
Primeros segundos y Wren saca un moco de su nariz y lo pega en el escritorio
I honestly think the "YX-ONE" is the Personal Electric Mobility platform that the Corridor Crew would get excited about:
yx-one.com/
ua-cam.com/channels/Tj2Rt29Ve8aelK9v24jQew.html
ua-cam.com/video/NaHnm8PxSoA/v-deo.html
ua-cam.com/video/1Vuh2t9ytUg/v-deo.html
It offers range, power, off-road capability, and a unique riding experience that you'll would love.
I'm sure if you contact the creator, eventually he'll be able to bring the "YX-ONE" over and have you guys personally try it before it hits mass production.
If your doing city riding, checkout Juiced Bikes.
Sounddesigners react coming soon? Have a look at ‘the man with the iron fists 2’, I love RZA but he messed up the score big time on that one. The music really seems to take away from the scenes because the emotions don’t seem to match at all…
Motorcycles Splitting lanes is legal in most countries
"I don't know anything about this s#&t" jajajaja

@@hammyofdoom8355 I do know.. but the way he said it made me laugh..

Niko, if I can mute my mic when I sneeze when playing games with my friends I'm sure you can figure out how to stop snorting in the mic.
