How quickly we forget that last year Lamar parlayed mid stats into an MVP with some prime time wins against Miami and San Fran late in the season. That's when the national media crowned him. Josh is getting that treatment now only with better stats than last year's Lamar, and with a squad that was supposed to be in a rebuild.
Do stats only matter this year or something? Both of Lamar’s MVP years, Josh had better numbers.. why does it only matter now
You know exactly why!
Burrow better than both.
You do realize Lamar has better stats? So to answer your question, no.
Agree Lamar shouldn’t have won last year his stats weren’t great and his first six games weren’t good he only won because he put up two monster games against the 49ers and Dolphins at end of the season and CMC and Tyreek fell off a bit.
Your ignorance? Lol @@jonfose7157
Lamar can’t be MVP last year and this year you can’t have both because if he wins this year then Dak should’ve won last year. It would expose extreme voter bias
*Allen
Allen led the league in yards and touchdowns, not Dak, while having the lowest EPA lost to turnovers
Lamar's statistics were garbage last year and won the mvp over Allen, who led the league in yards and touchdowns with the lowest EPA lost to turnovers, despite the narrative.
Nice moving the goalpost to try and get the preferred player another mvp.
Saquon is a solid choices too
Josh Allen has earned the MVP Award. Yes, Lamar's stats are better, but then why was he a runaway winner last year with worse stats? It seems as if they're trying to find a reason not to give it to Josh. And is Josh any less valuable to the Bills than Saquon is to the Eagles? If I were voting, I would say Josh for MVP and Saquon for Offensive Player of the Year. Lamar will survive.
A lil sparring at the end between rich and fitzmagic what a day
Josh is -900 Lamar +650
the only reason to debate is for the sake of debating
Josh Allen has had 600 more touches than Saquon it’ll be over 800 if he plays the rest of the season. If Saquon breaks the record it should be co-MVP
It’s not even close. Josh Allen MVP. Lock it.
If you go by Advanced stats Allen is far and away the best QB in the league this year. It isn’t even close. He has the highest EPA. The Bills offense is number one in the league by far using the top advanced stats which actually tell a lot more and gives context compared to regular stats that people use for stats normally. Josh was the top QB in advanced stats and normal stats last year also and they let Lamar win it because his team had the best record.
Last year Josh was statistically better than Lamar and now its “Lamar statistically is better” Josh has less and is breaking records left and right. He is the MVP period.
Barkley may win it after you look at all the weapons Josh has to work with, just saying "Most Valuable Player". It's a close call.
I feel like all these talk shows are saying things just to create more controversial ideas to get more views. I dont see any other reason for this bs. Josh Allen IS THE MVP. Look at all the amazing plays he is putting up, carrying the whole team through his alien like capabilities. He is the most talented QB of this era.
Still three weeks left, if Saquon breaks the rushing record it should be co-MVP with Allen. Give Lamar OPOY if you love Lamar’s stats.
If Saquon breaks the record either give it to him or don’t, having him share the award would just be an insult
@ that’s stupid lmao there’s been co award winners before, there’s 50 votes for MVP 25-25 is fine
Lamar won MVP last year exactly like this not saying lamar doesnt have better stats and knowing the NFL media he is going to win just dont be mad that some people choose Allen as their MVP ive seen tons of people downplaying Allen to lift Lamar and thats not what this is about man
Fitzpatrick is way too intelligent to suggest that Lamar has better stats than Allen. QBR exists. Let's stop ignoring it in favor of dated stats like passer rating and TD/Int ratio. For all of its faults, MLB is smart enough to prioritize advanced metrics over stale ones.
Also Josh has 37 TDs, 7 Turnovers, Lamar has 37 TDs, 8 Turnovers
Take Josh away from the Bills and how many wins do they have? Maybe 4 or 5.
Ryan apparently is a puppet
Remind me...Who was the running back when Philly went to the Superbowl?
Miles Sanders.
And Boston Scott
Who cares lol we are talking about this season. Eagles wouldn’t be where they are without Saquon both AJ and Smith have had injuries and Saquon has had more rushing yards than Jalen passing yards in multiple games. Josh Allen has had 650 more touches than Saquon and the Eagles beat the Ravens lol per touch Saquon is more valuable. You could replace Allen with another high end QB, you could not replace Saquon with any other running back in the NFL. I think no doubt if season ended today Allen is MVP but if Saquon breaks the rushing record with some monster games in the last three weeks it’s at least a co-MVP year.
Either your mother or my mother. I can't remember which one.
MVP
When Tua (an above average QB but not elite) went down it easily proved that even with elite receivers your team will go nowhere without a good QB. If Saquan goes down - Philadelphia would only be affected by 1 or 2 games max (if at all). “Back in the day” many elite RB’s were paid more than their QB’s but this is the modern game and the MVP is now a QB award. At this point I’m not biased on who gets - please just don’t make it about what race the QB is….
