And almost every century some threat of war would wreck it. Its very interesting to think about this. There was a lot of opposition to having the Bible made. And in the viking era, and dark ages, one of the favorite places to loot and burn was the places where the monks gathered, which ended up harming many attempts at translation efforts. This is part of why we only have the 4 gospels in Anglo Saxon, and why we didn't have many attempts at the Bible earlier. The adversary was trying to stop enlightenment from occurring and for a new age of spirituality from emerging. I was impressed that you knew about the Wycliffe Bible. Not many people know about this.

When you read about the Mulekites and Mulek.... it also says they were of the tribe of Judah. We often don't notice this when reading about them, and assume everyone was of Manasseh or Ephraim. Manasseh (Lehi's house), Ephraim (Lehis' sons married Ephraimites).

I can block the negative comments but hate to do so. It seems as though most honest people can detect the spirit and motive of detractors. Plus, surely the truth stands by itself and withstands every abuse. I think of the sticks with signs and the shouting and megaphones of enemies outside of the buildings at general conferences. Surely their desire is to end the conference. Who but the saints are regularly attacked by a mob of enemies without reacting and creating a riot. To me, in a way it is a sacred tribute to the people of the Church that they express love and patience to those who hate and defame them. It takes a "saint" to withstand such abuse. I want to "think celestial" and do what Jesus would do in such circumstances. But I don't have all the answers.

Very nice. The Hebrew Yah or iah on the end of the name means "God, Jah." It was often dropped from a name, and the short-form could be Baruch for Berechiah, or Mulek for Malchiah.

This is fascinating since even the Latin Vulgate has the father as a proper name of "Ammelech" (which sounds a lot like Amulek.. but that's for another deep dive). Do you know of any scholarly deep dives into this, complete with timelines of when Hammelech was corrected?
No I don't know of a deep dive into it. I have gone through scores of translations and found none from the Masoretic Text until long after the BM was published. Now I think it is fair to say nearly all use the corrected phrase but some add things line "prince Malk...." I found one almost unknown early translation from the Septuagint but not within the apparent reach of Joseph Smith. A seminary librarian said that in the hundred years it had never been checked out. The breakthrough of finding the mistake was suddenly made a decade or two after the BM translation and began in influence translators. You can climb into the smallest crevices sometimes looking for things you can never find for sure. What I represented in the video I believe is a fair and honest statement. (One viewer commented that he had done a paper on the subject some years ago but I haven't had time to review his paper.)

Jeremiah 38:6. I got baptized in this church in 1998 and since then I´ve been an active member. It was the best decision of my life. I feel so close to God, I´ve had so many prayers answered, and I feel a deep gratitude for my Savior.. The Book of Mormon has drawn me closer to Jesus. If that´s what you are looking for, I honestly recommend it to you, read this book and pray to God about it.

Jeremiah 38:6. I got baptized in this church in 1998 and since then I´ve been an active member. It was the best decision of my life. I feel so close to God, I´ve had so many prayers answered, and I feel a deep gratitude for my Savior.. The Book of Mormon has drawn me closer to Jesus. If that´s what you are looking for, I honestly recommend it to you, read this book and pray to God about it.

1. You are REQUIRED by God to answer any and all questions asked of you.

Different from what? There are many versions of Christianity taught today. Do you mean Catholic, Protestant, or Orthodox? If Protestant, do you mean Lutheran, Calvinist, Arminian, Amyraldism (4-point Calvinism), or Adventist? Do you mean Covenant theology or Dispensationalism?
My point is that what Paul worried about did come to pass. Different gospels are now preached all over the world. Is one of them the one that Paul taught? Or are they all wrong together? How do you decide which is correct? My recommendation would be that you take the counsel given in this video -- read the Book of Mormon and pray about it. God will answer your prayers as he has the prayers of millions of others who now know the Book of Mormon is true.
