We have made so many useful things on this channel. And for some reason the file with no utility has had more file requests than any other. So now You can download the sample brick stl for free at angled.xyz. enjoy

@@slant3d The main reason behind popular demand, is due to the fact that it's a very good test print, about on the level of the Benchy. As you're aware, no two 3d printers are the same, out of box, so it's good for calibrations and to physically see some limitations. A fair few people also like to keep them as "trophies" for making sure their effort wasn't wasted by adjusting their printers.

Also, when I’m teaching y high school kids about how to design things to 3D print, it is helpful for them to be holding this In there hand while watching the video!

I think the reason for that is: You made the ultimate calibration cube LOL.

You do a lot of great videos about how to print things the right way and how to make them easier to print successfully.
Can you do a video on the various ways prints can fail, what you do to avoid them, and then reassure us your print farm has failures, too?
I think knowing the pros have layer shifts and servings of spaghetti everyone once in a while will make us all feel a little better when it happens to us.
    Thanks!

Am subscribed because noted how often I watch a short Slant3D video and learning something that develops myself as a personal designer (seismic uptick, a personal progress leap). I've watched a lot of 3DP design videos, but the insight Gabe will causally gift you one short sentence, has moved the dial gauge for me time and again - sincerely thank you

@@slant3d you share many tips that 'hinge' on 'designing for 3dp manufacture' - for non-mech-eng peeps like me it's the abs💡 (Just watched the 'Top 4 Springs' video... Would be facinating to see your D4Fab take on various practical apps of compliant mechanisms)

With text, I really like to apply an offset to the SVG that is 0.3mm larger. Then I deboss the offset 0.2mm & emboss the text by 0.3
In my experience, the deboss with the emboss really makes it more crisp.

I love your videos and would love to know your opinions on how to best teach students these skills in a competitive robotics area. (FRC and V5RC for those who know what that means. )

Missing the fact that you can use the bed to imprint a texture on a face of an object, so if you have a two part shell and both parts have their outside printed in contact of the bed, you get no layer lines and it looks literally like injection molded textured plastic.
    Also, fuzzy skin was missing
