    Hi Samantha, you are beautiful and your video is very well done. I believe you are almost halfway through radiation, hang in there just a little longer. You got this! Mine was on the left side, but 7 yrs ago they did not make me hold my breath so my lung and heart were in the way of the radiation. So happy they are being so careful with your left side radiation treatment. As always, sending you great big hugs.

    I remember my first radiation blocking. I was so scared because I had heard so much about chemo and had seen the effects of that, but nothing on radiation. The unknown is sometimes scarier than the reality of it. You got this! Great segment, thanks for sharing.

      True, I heard a lot less about radiation too. I was worried so much about getting through chemo that I kinda forgot about radiation haha

      Samantha Lynn it’s true they act like radiation is nothing, just a back up to chemo and they don’t really inform enough on it. Then when you go in and find out all the details it kind of hits u in the face!- Arg!

    I wonder if a consumable brachiotherapy seed would have worked for the affected rib? They can deliver strong doses over time without too much penetration.🤔

    I’m scared of how weak I’ll be with chemo and radiation. Where you able to make meals for yourself during treatment? I’ll have to fly for surgery too.

    • @SamanthaL
      @SamanthaL  Рік тому +1

      Chemo will probably be hard but radiation will be a lot easier! People gave me gift cards for meal delivery services and helped make meals and that helped me a lot! You’ll learn which days you feel bad and which days you’ll feel good so maybe you can meal prep on the good days. Hope it goes well!

    I have breast cancer too. See surgeon tomm. My journey just started. Has anyone ever said if radiation causes lung cancer? Esp if a smoker. That's my concern with it. I'm hoping I can do local inside radiation.

    • @SamanthaL
      @SamanthaL  Рік тому

      I would definitely talk to a radiologist about your concerns and maybe they can help you figure out your risk. I hope your treatment goes well!

    Hi..I am fifty and I found out I have cancer and it hasn't spread to lymph nodes. I had a lunmp which I went in to get checked out but while waiting for my xray I started bleeding from my nipple which was concerning to me so I went back to the doctor and asked her to redo my form for xray and i also got ultrasound. After the ultrasound they said i need to go in for biopsy and maybe mri. They did biopsy and found out where my nipple is that's where my cancer is not the lump area. I will be going in for consultation this Friday October 30, 20 and what would I be expecting at the consultation

    If the rib is unnecessary why not just remove it

    • @SamanthaL
      @SamanthaL  3 роки тому +1

      There are some ribs that can be removed, but they said there was no way to remove that specific one. Multiple doctors tried to come up with a way, but it’s too dangerous for the spot where the cancer was

    I got radiation and a lumpectomy it was bengin she used the radiation as a marker it was all scary... I’m only 32. I was like to my boss can I come to work I have radiation in me 😂. But I’m safe around people pets and babies.... she was testing the entire tumor for cancer.

    • @SamanthaL
