It sounds like you are analyzing my severely autistic nonverbal son . he was abused and hurt multiple times by cruel sick others and he lost faith that life was safe to continue with his joyful full life. Then his anxiety went sky high. He started hating surprises. He since toddlerhood fixated on the order and patterns of life. He started playing drums at 3(time keeper) He also developed epilepsy and his meds have caused many side effects that are very heavy. His inability to executively plan has been there his whole life. He did not develop as a neuro typical. We have many Neuro divergent beings in our family.
My son has not had social relationships as defined by others and he has not communicated in a common fashion. He’s profoundly gifted in many ways. I as his mother have tried to support who he is not how others expected him to be. As his natural mind repetitions grew more engrained and dark life experience reinforced dysfunctional attitudes to try to cope his behavior became more and more problematic. The meds also affect delicate brain chemical balance. Just sharing a varying star-seed perspective.
