Bio points are wicked easy to get. There's a ton of them at every nuclear plant. You get one from killing each of the Caterpillar things and there seem to be atleast 9 at each plant, then 3 more from the boss and atleast 3 containers. I've only cleared 2 of the plants and have almost all the mutations. Then its all about maxing resistances.

One of my favorite games ever. I'm right around 30 hours, level 36. The game is very repetitive but for me, in a way, its therapeutic. The dialog is awful and I usually skip everything unless it's for the main story. The combat is simple yet engaging, theres always something you can do to mix it up, weapon switching on the fly based on enemy type is really fun. Although when you find a unique weapon like the Pri Murgel then the game gets really easy because you just slaughter enemies. I enjoy easy games unlike a lot of people but I've had to up the difficulty to my liking. The CRAFTING though!! Its really fun to make things but like I said before, the unique ultimate weapons kind of ruin this aspect because they're so powerful so most of the time I'm just adding new addons to those instead of making new ones. But that's easily avoidable if you just dont use the ultimate weapons. All in all the game is really awesome and I see myself playing this at least once a year luke I do FF15 and the Kingdom Hearts games. Definitely a solid 8.5/10

Great review. Seriously. And thank you for sharing the good in the game with some of the not-so-good (narrator and dialog). I've played more than 60 hours, have a maxed character, and have been loving this game. It's so much fun especially once you get up past about level 20+ because then you will most likely have accumulated some of the really good gear, weapons, and mounts. Another point about this game, there is a lot of room that the developers have to grow the game. Look at some of the other recent release epic fails like Cyberpunk 2077 where the game launched in a state that was nearly unplayable for many of us. I definitely recommend giving Biomutant a chance. And a suggestion is to join a faction, then split away from the story and just explore for a long while. Then return to the story later. After all, the exploration really is where this game shines.
I love everything this game has to offer! It is totally 110% UNIQUE! There is NOTHING like it out there! I'm doing light 1st playthrough & dark the 2nd! honestly yeah the narration was super distracting i didnt even bother to read a lot the stuff, but some characters are genuinely quirky in their dialogue but especially the morally ambiguous ones. The new patch does help a lot tho
One of my 'gripes' with the game is there is no real instruction about the mounts. If you get a pip and choose a mount, you are limited to that mount in your summoning, and it is not a permanent unlock. If you go forward and get another mount, if you want your previous mount, you will have to purchase it or try to find another pip. If you go around to all the forts and buy all the mounts, they're not a collection. Each purchase changes your mount. If you progress through the story and unlock the 'sully' type mount, then you have to go all the way back to the place you got your cool automoton horse and get it. But if you come across an area that needs the tow hook, you have to go back and get that mount again. If you find a mount you like, one of the most efficient (albeit expensive) things to do is remember the fort that houses that mount. Fast travel there whenever you want to change it up. I wish the mount system had more flexibility.
All mounts you get are permanent, you can find a tab on the map that's named "Transport" i believe, there you can change your mount. Most mounts can be found in the wild there are only two mounts that can't be found in the wild that aren't e different color of the earliest mount you are able to get, so if you find pip bushes make sure to pick the berry and you can get most mounts for free.
They matter in the total outcome in the game, some of the dialog choices from NPCs (based on their being more light or dark and what your points are at), and in unlocking the different Psi powers. But your own personal morality might be tested when you have to choose between petting a cute creature or killing it. :)
I wasn't really expecting to like this game. I dont usually dig the cartoonish art style. I much prefer realism. That being said, ive no lifed this game since the 1st day. Its one of the most fun open worlds I've ever experienced. The combat actually got really good once I leveled up and purchased all the skills.
I love this game, such a nice review. It’s a shame it got so many bad reviews at the beginning when it was released. Many people might have missed out on playing it just because of that. I was lucky not to read the reviews-if I had, I might have ended up not playing it either. The world in this game is incredible; if you’re looking for a true exploration experience and love discovering new areas, Biomutant is a dream come true.
I also had the same problem with the narration. But I found changing the language of the narrator's voice mixed it up a bit and made interactions far more interesting. Even though you have no idea what he's saying, you can read the subtitles and picture a whole different person.

I'm 35 hours in and only half through game. I'm trying to 100% and explore. Love the game but not for everyone. I love Devil may cry and fable with a more advance fallout style crafting system. Flawed but most fun I've had with game in the past 3 years. Def not the best but love it
One thing I've noticed: All the positive reviews say different things while all the negative reviews sound the same(ie the way IGN sounds when they're trouncing a game).
It's almost like the positive views are scraping for things to highlight, while the negatives are something many people agree on and are glaring enough for more overlap. IGN's review was incredibly fair and pointed out actual issues. I don't see what the problem is. Feels like the cyberpunk scenario where sunk cost fallacy made a bunch of people defend a broken shallow game.
The game is dope. I think people are comparing to BOTW and The Witcher 3 which needs to stop.. every open world game isn't supposed to be like that. It's a chill game not supposed to be deep and dark. It's light-hearted and easy to get into. Feels like it was made for 90s kids that grew up on Fable, Ratchet and Clank, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon etc... The exploration and customization are A+ and the combat is pretty fun too once you unlock skills. MANY different types of enemies. Please just let this game be what it is.. don't forget it was made by a small team and considering what they did.. this is an amazing foundation for a new game franchise. Looking forward to whatever they have in store next for this game. That said.. it's not perfect.. far from.. combat that needs some love..could be better.. no, I don't think it's worth 60, more like a 30 -40 dollar price point. Worth it right now if only you are a fan of exploration and quirky types of games. Dont think BOtW or W3.. think Ratchet and Clank x Fable. Oh yeah we need a option to turn off narrator for good haha
This is really weird. The reviewers from video game and magazines are giving it top notch scores, but the players are saying that this game sucks and not to buy it.
@@GonzalezJio Not from my viewpoint anyways. I was about to head to GameStop on two separate days on two separate occasions to buy this game, but felt like I was talked out of it by the reviews that I watched right before I went there.
Great work on this one. I was equally intregued and unsure with this game. Really really good break down and seeing the visuals etc im really leaning towards buying this after watching this 👌
This isn't a game for adults, in a sense. It's sort of a kids game. A GOOD kids game. Something infinitely rare these days, coming from an AA-dev. It kinda reminds me of Knack, tbh, but you know... Good. It's a game I'd give my kids to play.
These days reviewers and general population has been spoiled by triple A experiences that they almost always expect the same level each time. They need to lower their standards. Double A and indie devs deserve more love and respect. They really dont get that much. I plan on supporting the devs of this game and will be ordering my copy off amazon later today. Ive been watching alot of people react and review this game with only a small portion of people saying to give this game a chance. Id rather listen to them over ign or some other overrated reviewers opinion. Im gonna give it a shot myself. Im my own critic.
Good point, Alienshade! Skip Normal or Easy mode altogether as the game will get way to easy the further you get into it. On hard mode, there is more challenge (and even some fights that require a few deaths to really get an idea of how to approach). And they added an extreme mode to the game recently.
Enjoyment and taste are subjective. The only thing that is a universal to ALL games is.... can you tell that effort and passion went into it. Cyberpunk was effort and passion. You can tell it was made by gamers. you can tell in the detail. Was it a disaterous buggy mess? Yes. That's what happens when passionate devs get overwritten by money and corporate interests. CDPR really messed up. The only things you should be asking is, do I feel like I got value for money? and was it fun? Buying any game on release is a risky proposition these days and pre ordering is just pure lunacy. I Waited for this to go on sale because I wasn't sure if it was for me. I payed £17 and I feel like I got value for money. Do I feel like its worth AAA money? No, not for me atleast. Which is why I waited. It seems to be an accepted these days trend to release broken games at full price and then fix it over time with patches..... Division, no man's sky, cyberpunk
I would have liked more to do in this open world - NOT 'busy-work' - just a world that was more lived in, I guess. Otherwise, I love the Narrator's role in the game, a beautiful game overall. Plus combat and fighting could have tightened up and not be so floaty with more feedback hit registering going on. I really like how you highlighted the things you do get to do - a real positive indeed.
I just turned off the narrator by sliding the speech slider to 0 in the audio settings. I much prefer just the gibberish and reading text. Living the game otherwise. Combat is not my favorite, but I just get immersed in the world and want to wander.
Preodered was disappointed at first...alot of hype so here it is August 2022 and I see people put 1k hrs in and I'm excited. It is my second character my first was a saboteur and now I'm playing light and as a sentinel on hard and it is so good without hype I mean they hated on a game they didn't play or main storied I'm living so much now it has to grow on you for sure. Just buy it or play it I'm going to!!!
The first couple hours of this game are some of the worst I've ever experienced in an RPG. This game gives a terrible first impression. If you can stomach the first little bit, the game opens up and reveals what it wanted to do all along and kinda redeems itself
Of course it's hard to review it takes from so many different games that it can alienate people the same way it captivates them being a collage of different games means you'll have a lot to love and perhaps a lot to hate it therefore makes sense why the reviews are all over the place fallout players might not like the devil may cry combat devil may cry players may find the fallout looting tedious the best way to enjoy this game is to enjoy all the games it's made of if you like them all this is a dream game if you don't like a lot of the pieces you might think it's just wastefull which much like the actual game is kinda unique as far as reviews go

I wouldn't mind some form of co-op for this game as well.
Do choices matter like life is strange or infamous?
I’d say they matter less than those examples
They matter in the total outcome in the game, some of the dialog choices from NPCs (based on their being more light or dark and what your points are at), and in unlocking the different Psi powers. But your own personal morality might be tested when you have to choose between petting a cute creature or killing it. :)
Please, make more videos around Biomutant! Would love to see some builds.
Fextralife got you covered, hope jayvee make some too
Many reviewers point out the good and bad and have you decide for yourself regardless it still comes down to the individual and what works for you
I wasn't really expecting to like this game. I dont usually dig the cartoonish art style. I much prefer realism. That being said, ive no lifed this game since the 1st day. Its one of the most fun open worlds I've ever experienced. The combat actually got really good once I leveled up and purchased all the skills.
A gem! I want to collect everything and discover every tunnel and polluted area. I have an insane rifle.
"YANK ENEMIES UP FOR AIR COMBOS" NERO!!!!!! noiceeee so looking forward to playing thiss
If they got Morgan Freeman to narrate this would have turned the game's metacritic upside down.
Damn if only I had cash to spend rn to get this game. It looks right up my alley in games.

Your reviews are awesome man!
I'm 35 hours in and only half through game. I'm trying to 100% and explore. Love the game but not for everyone. I love Devil may cry and fable with a more advance fallout style crafting system. Flawed but most fun I've had with game in the past 3 years. Def not the best but love it
This is the only Biomutant review that matters.
Finally a fair review of this game.
@@unadventurer_ It really does feel like it doesn't it? I can't understand the positive reviews for this game at all. To each their own I suppose.
Is it playable first person is it stuck with just the awful floating camera?
Only the camera you see in this video
I was wondering what you'd say about the narration. It was a game killer for me.
8:34 on: Yeah, you can. Speech to 0. You're welcome.
another great video as always, jayvee.
The narrator and story delivery is definitely a knock against it but I’ve been loving it. If the premise interests you, you’ll have a fun time
This is really weird. The reviewers from video game and magazines are giving it top notch scores, but the players are saying that this game sucks and not to buy it.
I think it is the opposite
@@GonzalezJio Not from my viewpoint anyways. I was about to head to GameStop on two separate days on two separate occasions to buy this game, but felt like I was talked out of it by the reviews that I watched right before I went there.
@@jeffreylieberman1668 then how are the reviewers giving it top notch scores?
Great work on this one. I was equally intregued and unsure with this game. Really really good break down and seeing the visuals etc im really leaning towards buying this after watching this 👌
Base PS4 performance, framerate, pop in etc....???
The only NPC that will stick for me is Lupa Luppin
To be honest, It may not be worth $60 to me but this game is super addicting
Good video as always
Thanks so much!! :)
Play the game on hard! It's so good!
Good point, Alienshade! Skip Normal or Easy mode altogether as the game will get way to easy the further you get into it. On hard mode, there is more challenge (and even some fights that require a few deaths to really get an idea of how to approach). And they added an extreme mode to the game recently.
Good Review Man🤘🏼
Just so people know developers said they will be adding
Hardcore mode possibly with one life
Adding more melee impact (thank God)
Also common issues
Great review! Bought the game after this video.
Thanks for this. So many people kinda bashing it. It's different enough that I'm enjoying it
Enjoyment and taste are subjective.
Yes here it is!
I'm in my first play and being dark is awesome and I want more.
It's way better than Resident evil village
solution for the biopoint problem: get the biohazard suit and go kill some morcs
Great review!
Was well worth the wait! Love this game ☺️
"the parrying is really hard"
Me who's been practising my Dark Souls 3 parrying: *Knuckle cracking intensifies*
Why haven't i heard of this game
Idk... and I have to ask if you’ve been living in a cave for the last like 5 years 😂
@@alextownley9388 well the game went silent for 3 years...
Great review Im loving Biomutant
The first couple hours of this game are some of the worst I've ever experienced in an RPG. This game gives a terrible first impression. If you can stomach the first little bit, the game opens up and reveals what it wanted to do all along and kinda redeems itself
Of course it's hard to review it takes from so many different games that it can alienate people the same way it captivates them being a collage of different games means you'll have a lot to love and perhaps a lot to hate it therefore makes sense why the reviews are all over the place fallout players might not like the devil may cry combat devil may cry players may find the fallout looting tedious the best way to enjoy this game is to enjoy all the games it's made of if you like them all this is a dream game if you don't like a lot of the pieces you might think it's just wastefull which much like the actual game is kinda unique as far as reviews go
11:34 Literally set 'Speech' to 0.
Is the narrator the same guy that’s the sassy computer that talks to Courage the Cowardly Dog?? 😂
this seems... interesting... to say the least. But honestly I think if I got it I'd kinda like it.
The sound fx were unbearable to me.
There was no feel of impact. I've already uninstalled it.
Perhaps the updates will help.
Great review
There is def a no narration option now 😂
sparkatron hypicsckromp OP
11:38 i even turned mine Japanese and still was burnt out by it all. no one had any personality.
I love this game and I cannot put it down .
