    They are both size small and look the same height
    Top king says the small is 39cm
    Small for twins is 34
    They look similar in the video.
    I have the small twins and they are too short and also the strap is very small on me. But they are really light. Also want to try top king but their sizing looks very large with a small being 39cm

    Please try the Venum Elite Evo Shin guard if there are chance. I just purchased them haven’t arrive,but looks very cool and light, well protection.

      @@sudaknot I'm 6 ft, and I wear mediums, and I'm sorry, the C.C's are the Supreme Synthetic ones. They do come about 1 1/2" below my knee, and my toes do stick out, regarding the foot padding. I don't like shinnies that come up to my knee, I like them shorter actually. Someone kicks my knee, my fault for not checking the kick on time.

      Ok I can respect that you hold yourself accountable lol. First time getting shinguards and been considering CCs. I’m just under 6’1 and have been struggling between med/L. Last question: do you feel the strap loops hold up over time despite not having metal hoops? Thanks for getting back to me.

    • @stop....hammertime

      @@sudaknot no problem, brother. They've held up so far, and I've used them maybe a little over 100 times sparring? 1x a week, for about 2 years with those. I rotate with my top kings. I'd definitely go for the large size if I were you. You're an inch taller than me, and remember that I did say that I like my guards low. Bet the larges would probably end up being close to perfect on you.

      @@wingoreviewsboxingandmma3667 Forsure bro, I appreciate the effort. Been doing tons of research on shin guards trying to make the best decision. These two are both on my options list. Any experience with fairtex sp5 or sp8? Yokkaos or the Venum elites?

    • @wingoreviewsboxingandmma3667
      @wingoreviewsboxingandmma3667  Рік тому

      Yeah. I use to own the Venum. These 2 brands I like better than the others. But my favorite Shinguard at the moment is the Hayabusa T3s.
      Which shin guards are you thinking about getting for yourself?
      Yakkoa is similar to the Top Kings but instead of 2 loop through velcro straps it has 4 separate connecting velcro straps.
      Fairtex are good but not great

      @@wingoreviewsboxingandmma3667 I was thinking the yokkoas or the top kings. They look similar. However the sp5 and sp8 caught my eye, not many reviews on the sp8 but I am intrigued. It looks larger than most but looks like it would offer a lot of protection. The foot is attached unlike the sp7. Lots of reviews on the sp5, very commonly used and the most common complaint is about the heel strap being a little irritating. The Venum elites also caught my eye and the most common complaint I read is about the top strap being so high sometimes hits the back of the knee which can cause discomfort during kicks and knees. Also saw some champs mma shin guards on Amazon that look similar to the Venums, was considering those too but I think I’d rather spend the money on something I’m more confident in right away and test the champs out later for fun. I plan on trying out a few of them and I’ll just have extras for myself and my family. However I plan on getting XLs because I am 6’3 185 and don’t want it to be too short below the knee. Only reason I didn’t include the twins is because I have been limiting myself to Amazon and I didn’t see them on there however if they are the best option I will order from twins or any site directly, open to advice. Thanks for your time. My gut is telling me to try out the sp8s or the top kings, maybe grab the champs after to have an extra pair for sparring with friends. Then maybe for my third of forth pair I’ll grab the yokkoas, maybe wait for a cool colorway to release. I’m sure I’ll end up with all of them at some point but I’m trying to be strategic, I want to get the best pads first and I’ll stay open minded and experiment with the others over time and rotate between my top 2 or 3 and have the others for my friends to use.

    Great video!! Trying to figure out if I'm a S or M in twins. I have fairtex S but the lower strap is a few inches too short so it pops off but I'm shorter at 5'4 with a 12in shin length. I'm wondering if the twins straps are longer, how many cm/in is the lower strap for yours and what's your shin length? Can't remember if you said yours was small or medium?

    I got Twins shin pads that has double velcro starps with no loop. Unlike the ones you are holding where the velcro straps loop through a hole. I feel it maybe less durable and more difficult to put on and tighten. What are your thoughts on this?

    • @wingoreviewsboxingandmma3667
      @wingoreviewsboxingandmma3667  Рік тому +4

      The velco loop through strap can synch down tighter than the 2 velcro straps that connect will. Which is why I like that style but the 2 connecting straps like you have work fine and more convenient to take on and off.
      As far as durability goes Im not so sure what difference it would make honesty. As long as you take care of them and do not allow the velcro to pick up dirt and particles they should last

    I'd like to order Twins but I'm unsure if I should go for S or M. I'm looking for a good fit but also a decent fit with the velcro to also be as secure.
