- Stanley Tucci ('Feud: Bette and Joan') on playing studio head Jack Warner: 'He took advantage of everybody.' This is an exclusive webchat with Gold Derby editor Chris Beachum. As the eight-part FX limited series begins, aging screen legend Joan Crawford (Jessica Lange) needs a comeback desperately. After bringing the book "What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?" to director Robert Aldrich (Alfred Molina), they must then reach out to Crawford's arch rival Bette Davis (Susan Sarandon) to be the co-lead. All of them are in a battle with Warner over contracts, money, and control, plus the fact that he wants Aldrich to pit the two ladies against each other for the publicity.

He reminds me of a gay (not that he appears so) but has the look of the man who was gay in another movie.

Mr. Tucci is as lovely a person in this interview as I'd hoped he would be. It's so nice to see actors you respect revealing how down-to-earth they are in their daily lives. Not to mention, he was terrific as Jack Warner.

Masterful performance by Tucci. I wish Betty and Joan focused more on the dichotomy of filming of "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane" after movie plot finished the script seemed to stall out the focus of the mini series. Bette Davis was 53 when she filmed Baby Jane in 1961, Sarandon was 70 acting the part in this TV series..... but she still pulled it off.
