M&P is killing Glock in all areas. Just as reliable, better ergos, better features, more of a variety… Complete packages out of the box from the factory. No stippling, no slide cuts, no trigger changes needed, no sight changes needed.

It's not a hard decision.. That M&P is damn near perfection out of the box.. Glock's all have to be upgraded and modified just so they can come close to that M&P

All I know is glock needs to push the envelope a little bit. Gen 6 better have a way better trigger, stippling, and slide cuts. Yes reliability is #1, but the consumers want more! That’s why everyone sends their Glocks off to be worked on 😂
Both are very reliable guns, but this is not apples to apples comparison! if you go with the Glock then you will have to make so many upgrades (trigger, porting etc.)You will probably spend more money than the M&P comp
So wait, it's between getting a glock 26(that it sounds like you already own?) stippled, and getting the slide refinished, vs. a brand new metal comped full size S&W? Those seem like very different guns. Regardless, i can help you(especially if it's a carry gun you want.) Get one of the larger p365 guns. I havent kept up with all the models, but switching from a g19 to a p365xl was life changing, and now they have so many variants, many of can swap slides, that you can have almost any gun you want.
I have 4 sig sauer p365’s. Sig has the worst quality control out of any firearm manufacturer. Have 4 and 2 had catastrophic failures and had to be sent back for extremely serious issues. I would not be here right now if I had to use them to defend my life. I have over 50 Glocks and I’ve only had failures to feed twice with my Glock 45 and the same with my Glock 28. I speak to industry insiders, I speak to all my local gun shops and range rentals as well as my gun smith. Did said p365’s have more issues than any other handgun. As well as the other striker fired sigs thep320 compact and p322. Carry what you want by I shoot thousads of rounds per month and would never trust my life or kids life to a striker fired sig. if it’s the hammer fired sigs like the 229, 238, 224, 228, 226 etc then they are amazing but no way I would put my kids life in the hands of a striker fired sig.
And that would be a Glock 47 sir. I just got my 26 back and that’s my main carry and always will be. I was just stating the 47 had the same work my 26 had. I have 14 Glock 26’s not a single failure. Combined they have over 60k rounds. I’ll take a work horse over features all day. My life is not worth risking it to sig.

As a Glock guy, I’ve had my fair share of m&p’s. And funny cuz all I can say is if it wasn’t a Glock it would’ve been a m&p I carry everyday😂

The g47 replaced the g17 same size only difference is the slide sticks out of the frame in the 47
The 47 is the 17 but it has a 19 recoil system so it can be put on different size frames.
