It's understandable; that was at the end of the previous episode, and it seems there was a break before recording this one. The mission log didn't record that bit of info, so he had no way of knowing other than remembering (and it's easy to forget for people like us with scatterbrains) or watching the end of his own video.

First is booping the nose in 1 for good luck. Second is playing with the prizes in Help Wanted. Not quite as good as those, but as much as I love exotic butters, this is better.

The AI in these machines is far beyond what we saw in the earlier games and these animatronics are able to deduce situations. If one of these guys is chasing you and you "disappear" behind/in an object, their computer brains should come to the conclusion that you are inside the empty object. Edit: Also, go back a few episodes and Mark/Gregory desperately hopped into a locker when Chica was in the same room and she immediately found him.

To be fair, the series (and especially this game,) has become so far removed from what made the games actually creepy and well made, so I don't at all blame him for not being scared by it. They removed the unique gameplay, the atmosphere, the confusion and sense of unknown, and overexplained everything away for the sake of making it a franchise.
Imagine how confused kids will be when they see this game first, and then go to the earlier instalments only to see Freddy is evil and you sit on your ass the whole time.

Amusingly enough, the Roxy elevator is one of the very few times they clearly state "only this one is effective". There's a green light only above Roxy's door. Vanessa goes into her door. Freddy says to go into her door too.

Thank you! I hoped someone commented on it bc it's so funny. I love how Mark has little moments like these in all the games. The stare off is my third favorite. First is booping the nose in 1 for good luck. Second is playing with the prizes in Help Wanted. Not quite as good as those, but as much as I love exotic butters, this is better.

Edit: It's not even a matter of the tech/mechanics behind how her eyes work. The AI in these machines is far beyond what we saw in the earlier games and these animatronics are able to deduce situations. If one of these guys is chasing you and you "disappear" behind/in an object, their computer brains should come to the conclusion that you are inside the empty object.
Edit: Also, go back a few episodes and Mark/Gregory desperately hopped into a locker when Chica was in the same room and she immediately found him.

To be fair, the series (and especially this game,) has become so far removed from what made the games actually creepy and well made, so I don't at all blame him for not being scared by it. They removed the unique gameplay, the atmosphere, the confusion and sense of unknown, and overexplained everything away for the sake of making it a franchise.

@@um7239 Those animatronics have enough hydraulic strength to smash through fences and solid doors, Gregory's weight is by no means the issue. Freddy is just trying to be very, very careful so his endoskeleton doesn't completely chew up the poor boy.
