My family actually owned a township property before that was bringing in quite a bit in rental income (It was a big lot with about 10 back rooms). Everything was good for a few years until the gangsters showed up and wanted their cut. A few threats, broken windows, gates and assaulted tenants later, we pulled out, forced to sell the property at a slight loss. Township properties are definitely quite profitable but you have to have the character and willpower to deal with all that comes with it. Good and bad.
Township property is the wild west...I put an offer for a property over a year ago, its been at the deeds office for nearly 2 years there's a caveat over the whole area bond can't be registered
Eish this video came at a time where I am about to sell my rental property in kasi that gives me monthly income of R3500. Do you think this is the smart move? I doubt it though. I think I must keep it and try to get investors to help me build more units.
I would like to strongly disagree unless somehow we miraculously become an equal society where huge amount of the population move upwards in earnings and can afford the next tier of property. Backrooms and township develop is going no where and I would, if you are up for it, invest heavily.
People aspire for greater than to stay in the Township and back room's. Black communities should aim highher than to be squashed up in places that were originally designed to be slums. Dont exploit

Thanks for adding some insider perspective. This is actually sad, but it's part of the risk, I guess.
Love you content Louis. Really open minded!
Thanks man really appreciate the positive feedback 🙏🏻
Like you said infrastructure, security and political stability is a concern!
Absolutely, but thats part of the ridk when you want to follow this strategy. Theres always risk involved.

Interesting. I can imagine its difficult to get deeds done and finding out how the Erfs work.

Where is your property located?
Why do you want to sell it? Care to elaborate further 🤔
Keep it!
Sell it to me! I’m serious. It’s not a smart idea to sell, but obviously depends on the kasi etc.
Take a loan nd build more rooms

Absolutely, but why not use what you have available to get you to your bigger dreams. All it is is simple education and a will to succeed.
I agree with you, we should aim higher but we can use township as a starter since it's low cost.
