Q: People say Yohani looks like a Tom boy, what do you have to say about it.. Especially with the way you wear and your hair style.
A: It has always been my style. I Love to wear trousers.. Even girls do wear trousers.. It's comfortable for me. So I am just continuing it. I got popular when my hair was cut short. So I am just keeping it. I might also grow it long sometimes after.
Q : Do you have a boyfriend? Has anyone ever asked this before on air? Do you have a crush currently?
A: Nope.. It's the first time. And the answer is No. Crush wise.. Nope.
Q: what qualities would you expect in a boyfriend.
A: Someone who would be supportive to my career, meanwhile where I too could be supportive to him. Someone would be understandable.

Q: Are you following anyone or and artist as a role model?
A: Not particularly one person yet I am following whoever as I see as having good qualities and has something for me to improve my character..
( I am skipping few from the conversation since it might not make much sense to you all)
Q: If you ever given an opportunity to take up a role in a movie and the producers is happy to let you to pick the main actor, what would be your pick?
A: Tom Hardy... (she also mentioned, that she was actually offered a role in a short film and we might be able to watch it soon)
Q: Do you have a specific genre when listening to music.
A: Not really. I love to listening to any genre of music from any country. They all have their own speciality in sounds and time signatures which allows me to develop my projects as well.
Q: What would you have become if you were not a musical artist nor someone with an Accounting background? What would have been your career target.
A: If so I would have chosen Shipping Industry. Because I did my bachelors in logistics from Kothalawala Defense University. Then I did my Masters in Accounting (Aus). So I would have ended up doing a career in Shipping Industry. Because my interest in there.
Q: Your mash up "Thibunanam" song did in 2020 end got much popular in social media. How did you set it up? Did you take permission from original artists before doing that?
A: Yes, I called up all the artists and request permission from them personally. No one objected. It was very well welcome.

Q: People are much interested to know what's your family background is.. Your father is a respected war hero... Tell us more about your father. Also, didn't your parents got offended when you changed your path from Accounting to music?
A: Yes my father did a tremendous job during the latter part of the civil war. He is major General Prasana De Silva. I am very much honoured to be his daughter.. Back then both my parents questioned me why I want to move to music industry. That's all. Now they all support me a lot.
