Keen to know as an absolute rookie to laser cutting would you recommend this as the first laser for the idea of small business? I saw you had the box with the air pump too...is this something that's needed?
Hello, I think this is still a good option for a first laser. But yes, you will want to add air assist and build some kind of box to extract the fumes, and block the view of the laser beam, beacuse it can be bad for your eyes. Now that Xtool has released the S1, That would be my recommendation beacuase all that extra stuff is built in. What kind of material is it, plywood? Did you paint one side with regular red paint?
