      I tried it on the Tryweryn a couple days ago. It's a super fun boat. Ridiculously happy with the tail in the water making tailies, pirouettes and splats a total joy. When you get the tail down it feels super balanced and stable on end. I think the design of the boat puts trim a little back of centre, so to make it more of a river runner people are gonna want the seat forward, or just keep enjoying effortless tailies all the way down at normal setting.

    Yesss! Thank you. As soon as I started paddling the scorch I started wondering if they’d get a ripper 2 out with a little more rocker and of course they were working on it. Have loved how easy it is to go between my large ripper and scorch. Guessing this’ll be even more similar. Thanks again for the preview. Excited to try one now here in the gorge

    Looks good, the whole time I wondered if the seat needed moving forwards and you addressed that subject at the end of the video. I understand why they choose that seat system for creek boats but for playboats I'd like an easily adjustable system.

    We think you've bagged the first loop, again! Loving the phrase you used, too; 'Turns on a dime and gives you change back!' - we gonna have to use that (but in GBP, of course!) 😜
    We understand your concern about the tail bending, but those rails that continue all the way back should provide enough structure to prevent it, and the stern central buoyancy does extend past the stern handle (it's a full meter long).

    Love these videos! One tip for the GoPro, if you go into the settings and turn the wind filter off, the muffled sound after the camera takes a dunking will last a lot less time (the camera thinks the water Ingress is wind so it aggressively applies the filter to all of the mics, which is why it sounds muffled). Will certainly look at taking one of these for a demo!

    • @WadeHarrison

      trust me its off I never run that setting this is just part of doing these in real time this is not paddling a creek boat and sitting and talking between rapids when im in a play boat or halfslice the mics are full of water every rapid because of my vert style and I have no idea how it sounds until in get home and go through it

      @@stuartreedsadventures I actually tried one at tuck fest yesterday. It was like nothing I’ve ever paddled before. It seemed to have a stupid amount of rocker in the bow. When you first hop in it seems like you are riding a wheelie there is so much rocker. It went over all the holes with ease. Didn’t seem as fast as the 1.0. The 2.0 is easier to get vertical and once you get it up it wants to spin a lot. The last thing I seemed to notice was it liked to skip out of drops kinda like the modern creek boats now a days. I need more seat time to tell how I feel about it compared to the rewind though. The rewind is a great all around half slice. Does everything really well. The ripper 2.0 seemed very edgy and more playful than the rewind but probably wouldn’t take it down the mank compared to the rewind I wouldn’t mind to. Hope this helps. The 2.0 is definitely a new breed of boat that is fun but as of now I’d pick the rewind cuz it does everything so well

  • @davidharris3685
    @davidharris3685 2 роки тому +1

    Looks awesome, I'll have to try one. My concern would be the bow up tendency. I went from a large ripper 1 to a medium rewind and I heavily preferred the rewind. There's a volume change so not the best comparison but I felt this knees up position in the ripper that made me want to crunch. After a full day my abs were blasted and if I relaxed I'd get tail stomped and be all over the river. The rewind I could relax more. Still needed driven but I didn't feel like my feet were over my hips in it. I love the stern on the ripper 2 and it looks like I could throw it over the moon with my 220 lbs. I'll just have to see if or rides like the ripper and the Ozone did with the back tilt feeling. My scorch x doesn't do that and I love that boat.
