What a win.... we were all over them. All match. We outplayed them in all areas of the pitch. Eli was a machine to the 98th minute. This is what we been waiting for. Brown goal was class. That performance is a top 6 performance UTH
Never forecast anything other than a win v Watford before. But, there again, never witnessed a Luton team so lacking in fight before…and I’ve been watching these derbies since Furphy was in charge at Watford. You guys are spot on - our dire situation isn’t down to the players. It’s down to mismanagement - players out of position, not playing to their strengths and having had their motivation drained out of them. I can’t swallow forecasting a defeat though. I’ll go for a 1-1 draw.
There is clearly an issue with confidence in RE and it does reflect on Lutons performances so far this season. If this hasn't been resolved over these last 2 weeks or so expect the worst to happen on Saturday, not only will Luton lose but RE will lose his job on Monday. BUT... on the other hand, if confidence has been restored in RE then this should show on the pitch on Saturday and it's what is need if Luton are to win this game! Come on you Hatters 🎉
First I have to say that I can understand why people have been having doubts in RE and the team, but the performance yesterday is a demonstration of why I've been keen to still get behind the team and have applauded them off even after a loss. It was a pretty complete performance with TK having to make only one save in 100mins! That's not to say Watford didn't have attacks and chances, but the rest of the team did their jobs and snuffed the threat out. And that performance also addressed some other concerns - McGuiness began showing some defence dominance; Eli caused all sorts of problems for their defence, and was possibly the reason Carlton had a free header for his goal; and Alfie's potential "defensive" frailties were put to rest in some respects as, when asked to move into a defined defensive role, he was solid. But the key point I noted was how much we missed Carlton Morris in the past few games. He isn't quite Locks (and good to see him on the field at the end) as to leading prowess, but he's pretty close! I just hope that what we saw yesterday is a small taste of what we can deliver going forwards, and that it wasn't a case of "getting up to play the old enemy"!
We will be up for this one, Captain Morris to score and Luton to win 2 nil. Let's make it hostile on the pitch and off . Just play proper football and win your position. COYH 🧡
I have no idea what to expect. The last international break, the lads came back and nothing really changed, which is my real concern. NOTHING appears to be changing. I hope you're right that Rob floods midfield when we need to, otherwise this could be an embarrassing scoreline that will pile more pressure on Rob, if the performance isn't there. I think the 4 will work once everyone is fit and my guess is the reason why it failed so hard against Sheff Utd, is due to the lack of training on the new set up - that much was clear. But it's another game, let's keep the faith. I'm still down for a 3-2 Luton win, coming from behind and this will kick start our season.
With it being against our 'friends' down the road, it adds extra 'pressure BUT to call for Rob to lose his job, is crazy. As you say, from people worshipping him, to suddenly wanting him gone & some, even wanting snake to come back, is just wrong & adds extra stress. Let's hope we smash them & people give Rob the credit that he's due. I'm over for the match, so hopefully I can be a lucky charm. My prediction is 2 - 0, although, I'd take 1 - 0. 🥃⚽🥃'
Patrick van Aanholt. 30 matches for league winners PSV last season, including 4 champions league appearances. 34 year old left back with plenty of experience. Currently a free agent. 4-2 Luton.
As much as it pains me to say it, I'm not convinced the international break will have fixed Luton as there seems to be some fundamental issues. Would love to see Luton thrash them, but I fear we'll be undone at the back again so head says 3-2 to Watford.
Hope RE wakes up, I think he is severely overrated as a manager if you look at the win rate over the last 50 games. Brain Prediction: Luton 1 - Watford 3. [But my heart says Luton 3 nil.]

Mad game 3-2 Luton win COYH ⚽️
Caution! Adding Robinson to their coaching team might mean that they will be made aware of what the derby means.
Keeping the faith, 3 - 1 to the town, Rob keeps his job, climb up the table begins!

So close to spot on prediction

Can't see Luton keeping a clean sheet, but as you say, time to be positive. 3-2 Luton.
Lets get behind them, they need us. I predict this as our 'Phoenix from the flames' moment! COYHS ! Great discussion - 3-1 to the mighty Hatters !
This is where we turn it around! 1-0 town

Season starts here proper… 2-1 comeback win for the Town! 🎩
1-0 🧡 COYH

Morris & Taylor upfront, would work (I think). 🥃⚽🥃
As always, I am going for Luton to win 3-1
I've seen nothing that leads me to believe Luton can win a game at the moment. It's a Watford win, just hoping we can keep it respectful.
We need a Wayne Turner to bang one in….is Wayne still fit? Could we get him in. 1-0 Luton

May the best manager win. 🤝
Can't see us winning this one especially with injuries 2 nil watford but hope I'm wrong
Luton have won 8 games out of 47 that is relegation form
Why did the board give Edwards 4 year contract it's a shambles
Don't jinx it by talking about rock bottom until AFTER this game please! 😂
Luton to continue with their relegation form.
Up the Airports..😂
Can't see it improving
Luton win 3 - 1
Alfie should be left back. Back up chong in attack.
Alfie needs to learn to defend first.
Watford win , no faith this season..

Tut, tut, tut, there's no hedging your bets here, so what's it going to be, the head or the heart score?
Your going to get Stung by the Hornets
Luton 2 Watford 2
