Nicely done Triumph! 2021 900 Rally Pro owner. Had considered the Rally, but the extra Rally Pro mode combined with other features just made it a better value for me. Anyway, they seemed to have addressed a few of the issues I have/had with mine. First off, that TFT! I've gotten used to mine, but would be lovely if one could update software (most likely firmware though =/ ) I reduced some of the perceived vibration and significantly improved my comfort by switching the Rally handlebar for one from a GT...more sweep and slightly taller (identical geometry to my BMW GS and GSA bars), so thats nice. I use toggle bolts on the bar clamps and I can quickly rotate the bars up for standing work. I cant tell for sure, but it looks like that may have addressed the hot-air-blasting-on-the knees issue with the new bodywork...radiator exhaust being slightly more forward and angled out maybe? I dont feel my bike lacks for power, damn thing's a hoot, but more is always appreciated =) I like that gray with orange accents...

Wow, these new improvements are freaking awesome, especially in the UI part. I had a chance for a test drive when it first came out, I was astonished, didn't have any complain about it, even the quick shifter, which was so smooth and easy to use. Honestly, this is a dream bike, at least for me

Bought an Aragon GT 3 months ago, knew a updated model was imminent but didn’t want to wait - have to say I’m underwhelmed. More power is welcome and the dash is a good upgrade, but think Triumph could have been more adventurous with looks to be fair - they’ll sell for sure, great bikes !

Looking forward to a review of the GT/GT Pro. It will be interesting to see the new dash configurations and also find out if Triumph has addressed the issue of radiator heat coming off of the bike onto the rider.

    I've got a 2020 Rally Pro.
Re. 2:40 - To be completely honest, I rarely do any off-road stuff.
I would like to do more, but I'm also just not that good and wouldn't want to damage my only mode of transport.
In reality, I went for the Rally Pro because I like the look, I like the rugged off-road style, so having all the extras that make it great for on the road is great.
And then it makes me feel epic when I do go down a gravel track haha.

Not a happy chappy, bought a new Tiger 900 GT Aragon edition September 23. It's a great bike but was unaware of the new upgraded motor with the extra power. Agree with the dash it's a bit complex to read the rev counter, and think the newer version is a good upgrade. The heated seat was replaced with the lower engine bars on my model, but if it's packaged with the new bike as standard, It will be an added bonus. Overall the 2023 Tiger 900 Aragon edition is a good bike, just a bit off with not realising the new version has a fuller package.

Another great review... Shame Triumph didn’t ditch the T plane crank and go with the proven conventional cross plane crank... clearly the vibrations or ‘character’ as Triumph calls it are a little too intrusive hence the introduction of the vibration absorbing handle bars... i had one of the first back in May 2020, 15,000 miles was enough of numb hands on motorway journeys... I mentioned the vibration to Triumph and they were very dismissive having suggested it was deliberate to add character!! Seems they’re looking to reduce this ‘character’!! I think they’ve just gone for this configuration just to be different it makes no operational difference but adds a resonance that’s uncomfortable on long trips... a great bike but so easily could’ve been so much better with a cross plane crank 😊🍻👍

Thanks MotoBob. Very well done review. I have a 2022 GT. Nice bike handles very well. The bars are a little buzzy at 70 plus. Fingers go a little numb on a 2000 mile tour. The stock seat is awful for all day riding. It does heat very well. You could cook hot dogs on it. The new bike has nice improvements. Bars, exhaust, seat... everything. I am considering up-grading. However, the MG new Stelvio has my attention and I'll have to give it a look before making a change.

Much excited to try it! Just had a 1.5h test ride on the current model and concluded that it was nice below 6k rpm, but then not much more powerful than my NC750x. Above was vibey and that’s ok for a pass or something, but for sustained highway travel above 140 kph it was really not the right bike for me. Also curious to see if they changed the silly underseat charger area.

    I have two points:
1 - With this very lovely TFT Painel, Triumph should add a GPS mirror with the mobile devices (not only the curves).
2 - They should also make an adjustment to the engine air outlet. You guys from England may not feel it, but riding this bike in Brazil in the summer is terrifying. I burned my leg with the hot air (and I was wearing a riding pants)

New Gauge UI is pulled from the Tiger1200. Was wishing for a complete refresh. The main screen doesn't even show the odometer. And the flashing Wrench/time thing is a nuisance. They've eliminated being able to reset (as on the prior 900) without going to the dealer.

I have a 900 Rally Pro, but my dream is a 400 Rally Pro, to enjoy 100% off road.
The 900 is for casual off road, cause is much fragile, big, and heavy for this main use. The handguards for example are just decorative, so fragile like an egg. They could use an Acerbis X-Factory to increase it.
More power, new dashboard and Akrapo are very welcome.
I hope they also retire some weight from it.
Just a few adjusts, and the bike becomes the ultimate best choice.

Nobody's going to buy a new bike if they can just update their current screen to the new bike looks!! Even though I'm sure it's technically an easy update. Car manufacturers do this too with their infotainment systems...Want the newer version??? Buy the new car!!

I've been riding the present Tiger 900 a few times in different configurations. I definitely like the overall feel of quality and comfort. I agree that the biggest issue with this bike is the vibrations. Also I find the engine heat unbearable. I travel some very warm countries in the SE Asia and I don't need super hot air blown to my body. I am getting a new bike in 2024 and I think I might go back to the Honda Africa Twin standard. That extra torque at lower RPM and the new adjustable screen at the updated 2024 model make a already great bike even more appealing to me.

Interesting fact about the QuadLock wireless charging head: If your phone is using a GPS navigation app and playing music from a streaming app at the same time, the QuadLock charger does not provide enough power to charge your phone. Over the course of hours, you’ll notice that the phone’s battery slowly trickles down towards zero despite being on the charger. This is not a problem unless you’re riding for 6+ hours in a day and even then you can charge your phone when taking breaks to regain some juice. Still, it will lead to disappointment if you think that the QuadLock charger will keep your phone topped up after a long ride because that is not the case. I tend to arrive at my destination with about 50% charge on an iPhone 13 Pro Max after ~6 hours of riding. Luckily, QuadLock will sell you portable batteries that fit on the QuadLock case so you can recharge off the bike.

    • @FullSendIRL

The cases are also a pretty sloppy fit on some galaxy phones and fairly slippery in hand. I only put mine on when I want to put it on my handlebars for navigation. Other than that I never use it. It was the most overpriced phone case of ever but in the most overpriced ecosystem I've ever bought into.

Interestingly they seem to have dropped the GT low as well which surprises me as with that option they had a really accessible adventure bike. Hi just reading with interest your comment about the gt low as I was in the same situation earlier this year
as am only 5’5 “ inside leg of 29” I was also thinking that my only option for this bike was the low version, any way long story short like you I too got the chance to take out a gt Pro with the seat on the lower setting and found that although it was still a bit tall for me especially coming from a cruiser, but I was able to manage it and was impressed with the bike and how it handled for its size so the seed was set and I ended up buying a 21 model gt pro with all the bells n whistles as the low versions were few n far between, and there’s a lot more gt pro’s about, I did however get the bike lowered which has lost a bit of ground clearance but I don’t ride off road anyway, I certainly can’t flat foot with both feet but am not far off with my bike boots on , have done about 2000 miles on it now and it’s performed great 👍 just wondering if this might be an option for you.

Hello, I really appreciate your honest perspective on the vibration issue! This problem isn't just solved with the handlebars, because it also affects the pedals and the entire bike! I would have expected the installation of a counter-rotating shaft or other heavy modifications inside the block, because this is a tremendous problem for such a beautiful bike like this! Last but not least, I hope they have solved the other serious problem (not as serious as the vibes!), that of the heat on the legs, which constitutes a serious limitation during the summer.

I must of missed something .it's smoother than my v Strom 650 that I updated from . The heat I've only felt from radiator on the odd occasion but not annoying

@@RideFree317 I don't get it either. I've done 10k miles on my tiger 900 gt pro and I don't have any vibration issues. Maybe some people just have a very low threshold ✌🏼

Bob, do you know if the GT Pro still requires a full stop before switching to off road mode? That's a big flaw in my book and I hope they fixed it

Excellent review.Considered a T900 last year but thought it was underpowered & and overpriced, so ended up with a Tracer9Gt which has its own weaknesses. Good to see increased power, but why do they persist with that "skimpy" front wheel/ tyre combination which I disliked on my T800?

Triumph have to reduce the size of the exhaust in all adventure catagory. Like bmw 1300 gs it's pretty compact and looks good.

Would buy it, but really dislike the way only one light comes on in low beam (out of the twin light setup).
With the 1250 Tiger, both lights come on with low beam - why then not the 900.

Triumph should build it to compete with new Strom 800 and Transalp. I looked at a Transalp at a dealer this past week. It is not a good looking bike IMO...looks cheap and unrefined (the Chinese Morini 650 in the same shop looked better finished) Maybe it's the flat black paint scheme, the only one we get in the US this year.
