Worked in this department for 4 years lol. Missing a lotta faces from this video, now I'm sad. But taught me the skills I use at Jackson Custom Shop 💪💪
I've heard it's a great place to work. Kinda like a big family that really cares about what they do. It certainly seems that way. It's cool you ended up with a career building guitars. It has to be satisfying.
You and your team doing amazing job! I have a McCarty 594 and every time I open the case I have to take several moments to pause and just look at it. PRS makes a very reliable quality product that is stunningly beautiful.
I have one of these in blue, gorgeous, and, I take good care of it, it's never left in a corner getting dirty, always buffed and shiny clean. My humble opinion of instruments, any instruments, are they are possibly the greatest objects made by human hands, they are made to feed the human spirit, when you play or listen to music, nothing else exists in the universe, only the pure beauty of music, all music
Guys, please make Paul listen to some Slowdive hits. I think that would reassure him that using guitar alternatively as a sinth can be absolutely marvelous! This pedal madness was the main reason I started playing guitar in the first place last year. Using guitar in a such manner makes everything sound so lush and cheerful, just wow what you can do with an electric instrument! Options for creativity are truly limitless! Now I am looking forward to get a McCarty 594 with 10 top by the end of next year as a worthy addition to my fender tele.
furniture polish on top of the linseed oil, interesting. makes sense i guess the linseed protects and the furniture polish is there just for the bit of extra shine.
My 2004 custom 22 has a white line around the neck joint and the surrounding area has a white milky haze. An area of the back of the neck also has this haze. A recent PRS experience video describes how careful PRS are when spreading and removing excess glue in this area to avoid this issue. Not the case with my instrument. When I contacted PRS about the issue, which I consider a manufacturing defect, they told me it would require a full removal of the finish and respray at my expense!
@@markuyehara7880 Considering it's a 2004 model, it sounds like maybe that hazing issue had some time to develop, which is probably why it wouldn't be covered under warranty. That or there's some missing information.
I was able to get a semi-hollow 594 single cut. It's perfect in every way. It handles the heavy stuff great. Just my 2 cents but really, you can't go wrong. Mine is a grey satin finish. My understanding is that it's the only satin out there. A true one-off. Goodluck with your choice. You'll probably end up with both eventually. Lol.
At this time, we remain closed to the public, and factory tours are temporarily suspended. We will update our website with any new information and hope that these factory-focused videos fill the gap in the meantime. Thanks for your support and understanding!
Ordered a DGT today. The mail that arrived from the factory to the store that i placed my order said that i will receive my guitar November 2023..... I don't mind that much, but you should do something about that... I mean it's a core instrument. Not a private stock or whatever.... 2 years...???
I don’t care about a small scratch, but you know what you should fix? Almost every Prs guitar has terribly attached nut with glue around it. It ruins everything and why you can’t solve this issue, how it passes QC check...

That's awesome. I wish I would have gotten into building guitars.

You had dream job. But now you have the best job in the universe. Jackson is legend dude
Fancy seeing you here Nathan! Love seeing you whenever you're on Phil's channel
Nathan, any reason why my 2008 DGT lost it's original finish? It literally flaked off to the seal coat. It was such a beautiful cherryburst.
It's nice to hear the excitement in his voice :) Jokes aside, impressive level of craftsmanship and attention to detail.
I would rather him, than some smiley face faker who doesn't know what he is talking about.

So cool to see the entire process, such gorgeous instruments 👍🙏🎸
The attention to detail is just awesome, great work guys!
Reminds me of the videos I've seen of the Rolls Royce plant. Top quality production, no doubt.
No wonder my PRS showed up looking damn perfect.
Thanks for these insightful videos. Keep them coming.
These are great. I hope you will stitch them all together once they are all filmed to let us see the entire process end-to-end in one vid
This is from the last Experience livestream. You can watch them all there

Why didn’t you just return it within the 30-45 days that pretty much every retailer allows?
Why didn't you return it to the store? Sounds like a bullshit story to me.

My next 🎸 is a PRS SE Custom 24 .
Still waiting on our limited edition S2 Vela Semi Hollows. Original finish date was back in March :/
Waiting for my desired PRS to show up at Sweetwater.
Dautun is stylish
I’m debating about what should be my second PRS. I have a 408 in Trampas green that I love. Now I want either a 509 or 594.

Those slack cloths wrapped around their heads seems like a really good idea, when operating a fast revolving machine …
