To let you know, The Black Rose is a secret dark cult that resides In noxas, a country where Mel & her mother are from. It is led by a powerful witch/ sorceress named LeBlanc, who mind controls people all over the world. And no, this is not any spoilers, just some info.
They really gave my girl the Dictator Cape(TM). Damn. And I'm sure there's no parallel being made to the third episode of season 1 with someone lashing out and knocking the other to the ground, having a brief moment of regret before the first person walks away from the other and leaves them crying on their knees. Nope. I'm sure that's all just one big coincidence. I'm sure the writers of this show would never do something so evil. Salo certainly made sure that he never got control of Ambessa's army when he mentioned how powerful the Kirammans were. Though Ambessa really looked at Cait's mom dying and said "free real estate."
Guys I just discovered your channel, new fan of Arcane here! I love how you interpreted everything, it’s almost the same thoughts I have. I think my favorite character is Caitlyn and I don’t know why the majority of the fandom sees her as “the girlfriend” who has to be emotionally available to Vi all the time but Cait is so much more than that, she’s such a complex person. Loved your reaction! Going to watch all of them !
everyone talks about how good Ella Purnell and Haylee Steinfeild are at voicing Jinx and Vi, but not enough people mention how good Katie Leung is at voicing Caitlyn (Katie was Cho Chang in Harry Potter)
Maybe they don't think she is good. Are you English? Maybe you don't notice it as much. I always find bad British voice acting much more grating than others. She's fine in Harry Potter, but borderline horrendous delivery in Arcane. The only actor to be as much as distracting for me.
@@alicea3421 Caitlyn isnt "english' she is Piltovian (or whatever) so that is her accent, if you have a problem with it because you think it sounds bad, thats a you thing
@@vRED13vTTV The actress is Scottish. I said "for me", yes it's a me thing. I said as much. Piltovans don't share the same accents and neither do Zaunites. It's not the accent that I don't like, it's the bad voice acting. Lorelei from Borderlands will always be my worst example of it. It's overacting and unbelievable. Her delivery is bad and I notice it more because of her accent. I just found it strange that of all of the voice actors, you mentioned Caitlyn, when FOR ME, she's the only actress that I can think of from Arcane that does a bad job. It's not every line, but some are clumsy and overdone and they take me out of the show.
@@alicea3421 her voice acting is not bad, it is not as good as Ella or Haylee, but its not bad or 'horrendous'; in fact Caitlyn delivers one of my favorite lines in all of arcane, in season 2 when she is talking to Jayce and mentions the 3 faces she sees, it gives me chills, so you can go away with your negativity, its not helping anyone, have a nice day
This is the first act, just scratching the surface and setting up everything for what is to come. I am usually good at predicting what will happen, the series took me by surprise repeatedly. Caitlin is losing control, which is totally understandable given her situation, in some ways she resembles Slico at this point, at least the way she acts and gives orders reminded me of that character. Jinx is more Jinx than ever and Vi, as always, is in the middle, without ever fully committing herself. At least that's the impression I get. The good thing about this series is that everything can change in an instant, there is nothing like status quo.
I feel like the arcane wants you to touch it. It puts out a vibe like hypnosis or a jedi mind trick: "Go on... touch me..." Victor touches it. Mel reaches out to touch it but pulls away. Jayce touches it. All smart people, but seemingly pulled in by it.
It's the byproduct of the wild rune they made. It's like it answers to your desires and worse, they made it into a same power or level to a World Rune. It's why Heimerdinger is opposed in the first place in ACT1.
@@alicea3421 Heimer does gaf. Notice that he was the only one that is not involded with dirty politics and only concerned with safety. But yes Heimer should've taken more action or this would've probably never happen
@@Leeor1214 When I said anymore, I meant post season 1. Where is that in season 2? Where is it when he meets Jayce again in episode 3? There were also other characters unwilling to risk safety, especially as far as weapons were concerned, until they suddenly did.
Vi was right. Caitlyn was acting like Jinx there. After her mother's death, she was willing to flood the Undercity with poison gas just to get to Jinx. And she absolutely would have shot Isha by accident in that last moment. She's become consumed by hatred and a desire for vengeance that she pushes everyone away, something that clearly sparked Ambessa's interest. Let me tell you, you are not ready for the rest of this season. Edit: I guess I have to clarify that I AM NOT CONDONING JINX’S ACTIONS. She is guilty of numerous crimes and murders and yes, she should belong in jail in this universe. I am merely pointing out how her mindset and Caitlyn’s have been overlapping after the death of Cait’s mother.
Cait never misses. She was consumed by her hatred but she literally never misses. Before this when they fought at the memorial you can see every single shot she fired landed dead center of the glass every single time. She never makes a second mark in the glass, every bullet hit the exact same spot on a moving target.
You say that, yet I've never seen a single Arcane fan hold Jinx responsible for acting like Jinx. Multiple murders, and acts of terrorism, yet when she's thrown in prison we're just supposed to let her off the hook because she's different now and she's sorry. This show is so intelligent with it's writing, but this is the one thing I can't get over, the implication since Jinx feels bad, she's supposed to be let off the hook. All this energy Arcane fans have to tell Caitlyn off, yet never question why Jinx HERSELF's crimes are supposed to be ignored.
@KyosukeTsuchigami101 yeah but that was before her mom died, She was so full of anger and rage that it overwhelmed her and even the very best marksman can miss a shot especially when they let their emotions consume them. That's how mistakes happen.
@@jairusjackson7799No one is letting Jinx off the hook for her crimes. It's called redemption. Where a character wants to redeem themselves for all the bad and negative things that they have done in the past. A good example of this is aniken Skywalker A.k.a Darth Vader who has done multiple horrible things in his time in service to the emperor. But he redeem himself in his final actions by saving his son Luke and killing the emperor. Jinx belongs in prison and would have and wanted to stay there but it was vi who released her.
It's always interesting how the anger of the poor is terrorism but the violence of the government is always justified... Maybe people aren't mad at Jinx because she hit the people responsible for her life and that of so many others. Asleep and drunk at the wheel, making fortunes while people gag and choke. Right or wrong is irrelevant. Jinx is what Piltover has created with its priorities, and they'll get more unless they change. End of discussion.
I mean in Jayce's defense they were in an empty white void with nothing but the big arcane ball thing so I think touching it at the very least was going to be inevitable if they wanted to get out
I love how you two don’t talk much over the show aside from something small, unlike other channels that have not shut up, and it’s great, also jinx’s voice actor is also Lucy from fallout
In season 1, Ambessa said that Kino (her eldest son before Mel) was killed by a man with more resources than their own house. At the time this was believed to be the original Emperor of Noxus, Boram Darkwill before he was deposed OR the revolutionary usurper Jericho Swain (a champion in game and my old main, voiced by Sam Tarly's dad from GoT) who deposes Darkwill because he was enthralled to the Black Rose. It depends on where Arcane fits in the timeline which was never really confirmed, but because Singed is still doing his thing it's assumed to be before the war of Ionia ends. I hink it's actually a bit opf a change of direction to broaden the scope of arcane and tease what's to come but what's certain though is now the Black Rose is involved and that's not good for anyone. The Black Rose is more than a shadowy Illuminati-like cabal, they basically BUILT Noxus in their image after taking down League's version of Sauron: the dreaded Mordekaiser who ran a much more brutal empire for thousands of years after the Rune Wars. The next show from Riot/Fortiche is rumored and pretty substantially evidenced to be what could be a live-action show based in Noxus, so that's what they're building the groundwork for here.
The episode might be the start of the storm to brew out there that might roar out like a beast out there. 😬 As I shall say that you might need some shelter in the future if this series onwards that I hope it holds and not crumbling down. But if it crumbles, someone please help that person up with comfort out there.
"I hope you got a chance to..."
"Say goodbye."
Yeah, that's surely what she meant. 😂
