  • The process of delivering natural gas to regions not connected to a national grid is called a virtual pipeline and this video shows Gaslink’s solution, taking LNG from the terminal in Sines to Madeira using a fleet of Chart-Ferox designed and built ISO containers to fuel the island’s only power station.

The island’s only power station isn't the only power source, there are 18 solar installations as well.

Another tremendous example of how natural gas can be used for remote industrial applications; this one power gen on a remote island. This cutting-edge project was showcased at the HHP Summit in 2015 by GasLink's Director Pedro Frazao from Portugal. Other off-pipeline applications can include a variety of industrial, manufacturing, and other commercial facilities; hotels and resorts; remote thermal uses; and more! We will showcasing these opportunities at the HHP Summit 2017, with a particular focus on the Caribbean island markets. www.hhpsummit.com Nov 6 - 9, 2017 in Jacksonville, Florida.
