    What's up guys, Jeff from Sorta Healthy here! Today we'll be chatting about scheduling and collecting payments from personal training clients.
    Initially, I wasn't sure that this was a great topic for a video. Scheduling personal training clients and collecting payments aren't exactly the most exciting parts of the job. The more I thought about it though, the more this topic made sense.
    Simply put, if you can't get paid or schedule clients effectively as a trainer, you wont be able to make a living. Of course, this is most true for self employed trainers, but much of what we talk about in this video will be applicable to commercial gym trainers too.
    We spend a lot of time in this video comparing payment and scheduling applications. Some of the software covered includes Mindbody, Google Calendar, Wellness Living, Vagaro, Square, Stripe, and Acuity Scheduling. We also cover some good rules of thumb for any trainer, when it comes to accepting payments and scheduling clients.
    Depending on where you are in your personal training career, certain apps and strategies may make more sense, but we've got that covered too.
    Thanks for the continued support everyone! You're the best!

      I completely agree. This channel has helped me a lot. After I completed my ACSM and PN Certification I was just as clueless as I was before attempting these certifications. This channel helped me streamline my practices and helped me save time. Jeff you have created a wonderful channel for all of us aspiring personal trainers.

    I kinda like that not a ton of people watch you, but i kinda dislike you don't earn as much as you deserve. Keep going!

    I'm currently in school to become a trainer. How much do you charge and how do you know when to raise your prices. your videos are very informative. I've learned so much from you. Thank you.

      How much you charge is going to come down to a lot of factors including mostly where you’re located and the demographics there, how many sessions people are doing, what your employment is like (are you working for yourself? Paying rent to someone? Etc). As well as experience, how many clients you want/need to make enough money, if you ever want to hire people and pay them, etc.
      You’ll need to raise prices to adjust for inflation, your time and experience, bigger studio space, etc. lots of factors here

    I’m wanting to start in home training. Would you suggest having a second cell phone for business?

      You definitely could but I would personally keep costs down and just use your personal one. I would just set boundaries on how you respond to clients/prospective clients (ex: if they text you past 9pm, you don’t answer til the next day or something like that).

      I watched your another video and i got my anwser, im getting 33% and im doing more than 100 hours a month. We have big price for my country and im on buisness to buisness type deal. How can i approuch the topic of payment

    • @SortaHealthyTrainerEducation
      @SortaHealthyTrainerEducation  9 місяців тому +1

      33% isn’t terrible but it isn’t great either. I would simply ask for a small raise if you feel like you’re a valuable member of the team. If you ask for a reasonable amount, you’ll most likely get it.

      Yes! Most definitely! I think having systems in like some of the things mentioned in place makes it easier for you to schedule, keep track of clients/payments, etc.
