Pau says: Well, this next song, I said I was never going to play it live because it's a very personal song, but seeing you all gathered here, it's incredible to think that there are 8000 people here right now who came to see us, and honestly I'm so sick, my voice it's not great today, but I want to sing this song for you. **Fans start singing with her** No, I need to sing it (alone)... **She bursts into tears** Than you very much, I love you so much. Also: In UA-cam, the cog button next to the subtitles button, you can choose an option to auto generate and translate subtitles to English. It's 90% accurate, better than nothing.
I lost count of how many times I've watched this performance of Breathe. Every time I say, "Surely I won't cry this time"........NOPE! EVERY DAM TIME it gets me.
Same here. Every time I see tears on Pau's eyes, tears also roll down my eyes is like a string connection happens that just happens when I see her crying even if I see her crying in a short video... but it could happens with Dany and Ale. So far Pau owns my tears😢
"Black Holes" is from their first album, "XXI Century Blood," released in 2017. Pau wrote this song at 13. Usually, it's performed with her sisters on bass and guitar, and their parts are strong, but the strings in this performance add something special. At a storytelling concert at Agua Fría in 2018, Pau shared this about the song (translated from Spanish): "This next song... many times people ask me what it’s about, and honestly, I don’t really like explaining it because everyone has their own interpretation. Sometimes people tell me it’s a love song or something like that, which I find super interesting. I love hearing how people interpret the song because it’s great that everyone sees it in their own way, depending on what they need at the time. But, well... this song is actually about someone who’s struggling with addiction and all the things they’re dealing with. This is 'Black Holes.'" "Breathe" was a bonus track on their third album, "ERROR," released in 2022. The label requested an extra song, so Pau recorded it at home on their slightly out-of-tune piano, and it was included on the album. Before performing it at the Pepsi Center, Pau said: "Ok, this next song. I said I was never going to play it live because it is a very personal song, but seeing all of you gathered here, it's incredible to think that there are 8,000 people here who came just to see us. Honestly, I’m kind of sick, and my voice isn’t in great shape, but I still want to sing this song for you."
The one, and probably only, time Breathe has ever been played live. They needed another song for the 3rd album, Error, and nothing else was ready. Pau gave it up to add to the record, with the stipulation she never have to play it live. A VERY personal song for her. The crowd started to sing with her, but she told them that she had to sing it. At the Teatro Metropolitan 2022 show, the recorded studio version of Breathe was played during intermission.
As one of the 8000 members in the chorus that evening, I can tell you that we lost our minds when they rolled the piano out, a 10-member, all-female, string section comes on stage, and Pau does these two numbers. Two of the most impactful songs for many TWA members. Pau said she would never sing BREATHE. But she did. She gave us a wonderful gift. And we were there to support her, including singing the end for her. An amazing emotional 3 minutes of music I will never forget.
Yes, Pau was still sick. Breathe, a very personal and emotional song for Pau. I can’t help but see the entire crowd just holding her hands, helping her through the song.
Very nice reactions. Two World Class Vocalists in one band. "When I'm Alone" is just Dany and Acoustic Guitar with 8000 back up singers. Another very special song from this concert. It's a must watch... Such amazing emotional personal songs. Ali also has a beautiful voice, but she chooses not to sing lead only if Dany's Voice is worn out or she doesn't feel well...
All three sisters are classically trained pianists, but Pau was writing music and thinking of orchestral arrangements way back in their first EP. There is a version of Escape the Mind that features strings. I think having the opportunity to share Black Holes with the string ensemble was a dream realized. She openly offers that she loves classical music. This entire concert is special. You should see Dany share her solo acoustic performance of When I’m Alone, just make sure to have sub titles on.
While Dany is a top tier front woman, Pau's vocals go straight to your soul. To think she wrote "Black Holes" at age 13, perfectly describing the emotional horrors of addiction. It is possible, this will be only time Pau will sing "Breathe" live. This trio of sisters deserve to be at the top of the rock world.
I so agree. They're the only band other than Springsteen, whom I will travel the world to see. I saw them with Band Maid in Tokyo, then twice last month in California where I live. Next year, i have tix to see them in Guadalajara, Cologne, and London.

The look of shock on her face when she realizes the crowd is singing right back to her is such a beautiful moment, so real and genuine. Breathe is such a special song. She's never explained what it means that I know of, and she never needs to. For me it's a very real expression of terrible pain and depression, and it's the first time I've heard words that describe it. I'll never be able to thank her for that beautiful gift.
BH breaks you and Breathe crushes what's left 8000 fans finish the song out of love for her a fantastic moment one of the best I've seen in a concert. Great reaction thank you. 🔥⚡
You have witnessed 2 of the most emotional moments of the night, I recommend that you always leave the English subtitles on because the girls speak to the audience and it is worth it for you to know what they say. In the last song at the beginning she commented that she never thought of singing this song live because it is a very personal song and that at the same time she did not feel very well because she was sick, but she wanted to share the song with the public. Greetings.
Thank you so much for letting me know what she was saying🥰. I had checked for subtitles but for some reason I didn’t see it as an option (doesn’t mean it wasn’t there, I just didn’t see it)
I'm not crying you're crying....This is the drummer. Also song writer, composer, singer, performer.....She is special, all three are. I am assuming she went offstage and got a hug from her sisters but quickly gained composure to go back out there and play Enter Sandman next!!
I was yelling at my screen for you to turn on the English translation! It means so much more when you know the story going in. She had vowedvto never sing this publicly, but seeing 8,000 people there to see THEM as the headliners, and even being sick, she said she wanted to play it for them. Probably never to happen again. Niw you need to react to When I'm Alone from the same concert.
Pau said she never intended to sing Breathe live because its so personal and emotional for her. She also apologized that her voice was not the best she had the flu I think.
on the subtitles menu there is no English option but there is an auto-translate option below, takes you to another pop-up menu and then select English. Easy peasy.
Pau wrote Black Holes when she was 13 years old after reading a story about addcition, She never really says why she wrote Breathe but she included in on the Error album witht he stipulation she would never perform it live. Before the song she says that it is very personal but seeing 8000 people come see them perform was amazing and she wanted to sing this song for them, even though she was a little sick and her voice was not great. Glad to see you finally came back to reacting to The Warning.
Yes, she was sick. Go back and turn on subtitles. She explains why she's singing this live to the 8,000 people there. This concert is "Teatro Metropolitan" on steroids and has 23 songs. You'd do good with any song in it. You may have already heard a couple but the effect is different. They have dropped this concerts songs individually with the thumbnails numbered and also the entire concert video has now dropped.
Black Holes was written when Pau was 13 after reading letter about an individual struggling with addition; so she wrote a song about the struggle of this individual. Her sisters probably helped in some form; Pau usually creates the melody and collaborates with her sisters. Turn on sub at the beginning as Pau speaks in Spanish. The Warning's record label was finishing up on their album 'ERROR' and want one more song. They ask Pau if they can add her song; she agreed with the stipulation than she would never be forced to sing it live; so 'Breathe' was added as a bonus track. At the Teatro Metro concert (2022) the song was played as a recording during a break (the scene was surreal, a darken venue with just the background light illuminating the stage). The next year they played at the Pepsi Center CDMX to 8000 fans! It is my belief that Pau was so appreciative that she wanted to sing this song! Why this song is so personal who knows? Some say it due to the lost of a friend and others have stated its about a panic attack. I've searched Google but nothing only: The song "Breathe" by The Warning is about the difficulty of breathing when emotions are overwhelming - which is as good as an explanation as any.
TW have put out a video of this whole concert that gives the footage between songs. Also it gives translations when the ladies speak. As much as I love Dany's vocals, Paulina's voice has that "X-Factor" that completely captivates me. So much so that when they do harmonies, I immediately pick up Pau's vocal line. So, "Black Holes"... Paulina wrote this song about addiction being 13 year old at that time. This song is very dear to me. Being former addict myself, I know That Darkness very well (Now 7+ years sober). I love The Warning, but Paulina has my soul. But, "Breathe"... Hola amiga. The Warning nos une.
I just can't understand why youtubers in particular, if they don't understand what is being said in a foreign language, don't come up with the idea of turning on the subtitles. But if they then find out that subtitles can be turned on in English and then are still too lazy to start the video from the beginning, the ignorance cannot be surpassed. I think that's ridiculous. Apart from that, it was a great reaction, but it would definitely have had more impact if you had actually been interested in what Pau had to say. I don't know if one still have the feeling of being able to laugh when Pau cries. But it's properly just me and my point of view.

Gina, I don't know where you've been but donation or not you would do well to react to this whole concert.
Also, the pureness is a 13 year old writing this about what she imagines an addict going through.
That Song just destroys me...
⚡Viva Paulina⚡
NWSU/FloorFan/Epican/Ayreonaut/TWA/PauFan🤘😎🤘.
they were all getting over the flu and the song was deeply personal to her.
Pau + Piano = 😭
❤🤘✌️
I know you have already done When I'm Alone by Dany but the performance here at the Pepsi Center has some special words to the audience in the middle. Turn on subtitles if they don't already come up in English for you. She starts talking to the audience around 2:28.

Worth hearing even if you don't do a reaction to it.
Definitely a must do. The acoustic version is a completely different song from the whole band version.

Great reaction! Very "Pau-erful" 🤘
DPA 🔥🔥🔥 TWA 🤘🤘🤘 UK ⚡⚡⚡
Ur awesome
Pau is unique in this world....She said she's sick and not a good voice but will try to sing this very personal song. I think she'll never do that song again.U can try "crimson Queen" this time with Dany.
I'm a 56 year old working drummer and multi-instrumenalist myself, and the word authentic is what I use to describe DPA (Dany, Pau and Ale) I've seen them 7 times and what you get is raw emotion and refined talent, EVERY. DAMN. TIME. F#€Ķ!ŃĢ Incredible! Welcome to TWA ⚠️🤟⚡️🤘 you have been WARNED
Escucha 23 TAMBIEN INTERPRETA PAU ❤😎🤘
😘
Hola amiga.
The Warning nos une.
Next song should be Enter Sandman. You'll like this version.
If you enjoyed the strings here, you should check out The Warnings interpretation of Metallica's. "Enter Sandman."
Both songs,, written by Paulina at 13/14 yrs of age, are heart wrenching and profound! By the way, you could have used closed captions, just saying.
She were sick here but did it very good
If you turn on captions or autotranslate English it will tell you word for word.
Dejare este comentario, totalmente en español por dos razones, quiero ver si lo lees y la otra es saludar y agradecer tu reacción
Hello there, and you are very welcome, I always enjoy The Warning! 😃
🫶
in the black holes react i think the word you were looking for was " real " everything about this band is real, Thay are who Thay are nothing fake ,,,
you could turn captions on...
You need to turn on translations and go back to the beginning.
Lots of people laugh when they’re embarrassed or distressed or surprised. It’s a fairly common reaction.
I was looking for the subtitle option and it seemed it wasn’t available…of course that does not mean that is the case, it’s just that for some reason I wasn’t seeing it as an option
I was laughing and feeling emotions with her and her huge smile, it was so beautiful
@@ginxreacts Yes, there are subtitles. 😉
I agree. And some of them are too cheap to subscribe to UA-cam, so their reactions are interrupted by ads. Ugh
There is a thing called subtitles look it up could make your channel watchable
Still the pause button queen i see
nice reaction, but with breath you don't interrupt, especially if you only want to make a comment about the pitch of the voice.
