I guess sure. I've been told god Ginrai isn't that great as he's basically covered in God bomber padts. I also had an idea that victory saber would simply be saber+victory leo in jet mode replacing the V-Star
it was only the 2nd year in mecha history of doing 2 robot super combinations, they were obviously trying to do something different and make Victory Leo a much more fleshed out design/toy than his predecessors, at the cost of the combined robot mode. you also have to consider the combined vehicle mode, which was pretty impressive for the time.
Honestly, we need more super robot orientated Transformers shows. It's just sad that we never got another show like these after Go.
These are fantastic shows. I just saw transport combining and carrying animal in their chest! It's awesome.
Gotta say. Making TFs more anime is one of the things i love about the franchise. Especially for combiners.

東映アニメーションのトランスフォーマーはいつ見ても飽きない。
