BB30 is too complicated to become an international standard. I am going to continue using Shimano external bearing bottom brackets, they are much easier to service.

There are so many things wrong here it's outrageous 1:34 That is the incorrect way to remove the old bearing, freeze or push out from outer edges with the same installation tool. 2:15 both c clips were not checked against each other for gap tensions. 3:00 that is the incorrect install procedure, the bearings most be put in a freezer for a bit to contract slowly their size to then make them slide in easier without expanding the frame socket they sit on. Notice here the frame socket is actually being expanded!! At no time did they use a digital caliper to check the socket sizes of the bearing housings. This is a critical step to know of it will creak soon again. Overall this is not even close to how BB30 30 is supposed to be serviced. It's already a poor design by nature so these steps will make you ruin your frame only after a few rebearings.

They are simple to produce with standard , relatively inexpensive tools. I dont think manufacturers have ever payed attention to press fit tolerances. As a machinist, now bike mechanic Ive seen very few problem free bikes with press fit BBs. Specs are easy to find for any engineer, designer or mechanic in a machinery handbook. The main problem is that PROPER tolerances are in tenths of thousandths of an inch!! The hole needs to be round and sized within these tolerances. This is very basic mechanical design. Bike manufacturers get this stuff wrong on the highest end bikes!!! Ever wonder why theres so many versions and ‘improvements’?

ウェーブワッシャとか色々なワッシャーがあって面倒くさいな。
面倒臭い割りに異音が高い確率で発生する。
シマノのプレスフィットのほうがシンプルで耐久性もある。専用工具も入手しやすい。
フェルトのバイクを買おうとしたらBB30だったので、辞めた経験がある。
BB30はキャノンデールが生んだ負の遺産だが、キャノンデール以外にも採用しているメーカーがあって困る。
圧入式は自分でメンテできないんで、田舎暮らしだと本当に困る。

専用工具もAmazonで数千円も出せば買えちゃうし、普通のネジ式BBと工具揃える難易度やコスト、作業難易度も大差ないよ。

BB30の音鳴りで1年の間、ベアリングを4回交換、費用もすごくかかりました。結局、アダプタでシマノのクランクに変更して治りました。
BB30は最悪でしたね。楽しい週末のライディング途中音鳴り発生すると本当にテンション下がります。
ベアリングの費用とクランク代、アダプタ代すべて考えるとミドル級のカーボン買えたよな。クソ。
ちなみに作業も専門のショップで頼んでましたが、治りません。BB30は買わないのが正解。

僕はCAAD12とシナプス持ってますけど
CAAD12にはSHIMANOのクランクを入れてます(アダプタ使って)
結局メンテしやすいし異音も多分無くなると思います
ちょっと工夫してみるのもどうですか？

@@onozcup新車で購入して1年間4回ベアリング交換だと3ヶ月ことにベアリングを交換するペースです。
また、雨の日は乗ってないし、メンテナンスも200キロことに行ってました。
今はsuginoアダプターをいれてシマノクランクにしたので騒音は解決してます。
Bb30はフレームによって当たり外れがあるようです。
ちなみに僕のはcaad10で少し古いですが、最近のbb30Aは改善されたかも知れませんね。
caad13もBB30で、買おうか迷ってるんですがやめておいた方がいいんでしょうか？アダプタ入れてSHIMANOにすれば大丈夫ですかね？ウィッシュボーンってやつ入れてもダメですか？(初心者です。質問多くてごめんなさい🙏)
