He was one of the best actor in the world.
That is debatable,to me he was rather a ham
@@owilde7554 u must be a casual this guy is a giant
@@owilde7554 The only ham here is the stuff you are clearly eating.
As a muslim i remember Anthony Quinn in movies The message and Omar- Almukhtar of Libiya both great movies.
He was a fantastic actor, loved his movies. ❤️
What a gorgeous man and brilliant actor. Never got the accolades he
deserved.

HOW OLD ARE YOU. YOU HAVNT A CLUE

I've always adored Anthony Quinn, always thought he was a fantastic actor!!!
Yes! Very manly AND wise.
No. He was one of the BEST
True legend of cinema.
he was the best actor of all times (in my opinion), a marvelous artist, philosopher and incredible human-being....... REST I PEACE TONY
Great actor & so very talented 🌷Thank you for sharing his story with us 🌾
I was extremely disappointed when he didn’t win the Oscar for “Zorba”. He couldn’t have been better....
Kazantzakis also lost the nobel to Camus. Prizes don't mean anything
He.... a man of art. love and passion. The greatest of them all
Great actor!! I always love this actor!! Fabulous human being.😊🙏
Anthony Quinn is what you call a man's man. Tall, eloquent, intelligent, handsome and debonair. Todays actors look so feminine.
Absolutely.A real man. Where did they go?
what a strange comment
The great Anthony Quinn.
Watching these interviews from the 1970's & the intellectual calibre of them, you see how much journalism has deteriorated on English television today.
Also you have to make the interviewed comfortable, respect his craft, ask intelligent questions, and give time for a good and long interview. Now its fast and smart and so on, but REALLY superficial. Also whenever i see interviews from all kinds of persons from the 50-60-70-80-90´s you feel like youre REALLY watching somebody who is something. Who is magnificient at ones craft and profession. Sometimes you just want to listen and listen forever to somebody talking, knowing that person is one of a kind and such.
A lot of "stars" back then had lived quite hard lives before they became famous, & had spent years building up their careers before they attained public recognition in their 30's - 50's, compared to most actors now who are presented as "stars" in their 20's, who generally have had sheltered middle class lives of comfort, & haven't "lived" by comparison & had a chance to developed character. It's very noticeable that pre-1960 most of the film stars were in their late 30's-50's, but now generally they're in the 20's-early 30's. It's the "youth" thing that came in in the late 1950's-60's with pop music led by Elvis, & the film industry copied it in late 1980's, to its detriment.
kcirdrab so true. Journalism of this caliber doesn’t exist in America anymore.
Drewtazy Actors of this caliber rarely exist anymore!!!
Yesss!!!
Could listen to Quinn all day!!!!
Thomas Barrientos why are you that stupid?
@@georgemartinez8434 Anthony Quinn is better than you ALWAYS
My all-time favourite actor. I'd love to have met him. That would've been amazing. He's my idol.
Mom played tennis with him for years. She called him Tony. She was great
Talented actor, handsome, n classy guy!!
I wish that interview had lasted at least three hours. I found my self wanting to hear more. He's surprisingly humble, fair, and judicious in his comments about others, and the stories he relates are compelling. I can see why he was a great actor - he makes you want to listen to him.
People who appear so jovial, usually have gone through great crisis in their lives. However, people like Tony, have optimism, and stay Joyful.
Anthony Quinn is a fabulous Actor!
What a great interview.
FYI: Long True Story... This interview has to be the most revealing interview of Anthony Quinn's life... I was a very close friend of son Francisco Quinn. Francisco was a bicycle nut when we met in 1990 when I first started a bicycle component company named onZa. A year or two later he came with me a couple times to Taiwan to visit my component manufacturers. It was during these long flights that I came to know the good & dirty side of the Quinn family. He always told me how Anthony was really harsh and very punishing of all his children, which he related back to his Grand Father, being very tough and abusing with Anthoney. Funny after all these years I had no idea this interview existed and this interview exposed this very fact how all his children grew up in Anthoney shadow of child abuse. Sadly Francisco passed away about 8 years ago, and I was shocked the day I was told of his passing and grieved for many weeks. All I can tell you is he Hated Baseball & Loved Soccer. Oh, the stories he would tell me about his family would curl your toes. One day he came into my onZa office in Santa Monica just panicked saying we need to have lunch as he had chilling news about his father. So we had lunch at one of my favorite places just off the shore of Santa Monica... The first thing he says to me in my ear is, "My Dad Just Got His young GirlFriend Pregnant and when my mother finds out the SHIT IS GOING TO HIT THE FAN, and I don't know where to hide". Sure enough, it made the world news as his mother living in Italy at the time denounce Anthony. By force, Francisco had to go on the national news to defend his father. I can still remember Francisco wore a pinstriped suit during these interviews which really made me laugh out loud in front of the TV. Many in the bicycle community loved Francisco as his passion was always cycling and will always remember him as a compassionate man of courage and grace. With all my Love, Dan Sotelo
My lord that’s as crazy as it can get, wow thanks for sharing!
CAIC TARBH
If you compare this man to the so-called "stars" of today... Quinn was a REAL star with incredible charisma and talent. He was also a hundred times more attractive and masculine than today's typical stars.
I think Anthony Quinn is the most talented person of hollywood.actor will come and go but in this world there is only one Quinn. What an actor, Hamza, the man from del Rio ,he is born for acting!!!!!
every Muslim loves how he played Humza he was fantastic also in Across 110 th street as the police captain
THANKS! Too many petty questions but Quinn is always fresh air.

Tony always seemed to be such a genuinely humble man with a great sense of humor

Great interview.
Love the interview. Anthony Quinn was a great favourite of my dad, along with Kirk Douglas, Tony Curtis, Steve McQueen etc. real great actors. Anthony Quinn was a great guy and had some super films to his credit. Love seeing the audience laughing.

Kind, and a very unique person.-
Always happy to talk to you, and
Give his autograph.
Sorry it’s Anthony Quinn! He’s half Irish and half Mexican.
I think he was the most handsome actor of Hollywood too!!as other was only handsome but less talented or without talent.but Quinn was combination of all.
I dont know of any movies featuring Anthony Quinn except The Message. His character as Hamza was impeccable 👌
My parents and I saw him, in a jewerly while his wife was choosing some jewels, I was a kid he looked so tall and proud, here in México city, I guess he was that age un the interview, i was si lucky
I can relate I’m half Irish half Mexican and grew up in south Texas having to fight all the time.
My fight is internal. The Norwegian always wants to fight the Swede. AAAArgh.
I met him when he came down to New Zealand to play an acting role in the movie production of "Hercules" 1990's
Mexican roots and Irish roots interesting ✨ and amazing actor
My favorite actor
Great actor Anthony Quinn
That characteristic laugh of Anthony ....
Ooh gorgeous always loved him 🥰
Antonio... CLASSIC straight 👆 vibes
Anthony Quinn . Great actor..
Manly and smart.
about working with Katherine Hepburn they did, almost 20 years later after this interview the movie is called This can't be love, a decent movie about golden age actors.
The audience is full of people that look late 60s & 70s. These days you hardy see an old person in an audience on tv. As a boy I used to see very elderly people in the street and on public transport, nowadays I see very few ordinary working class people of 70+ anywhere except in care homes
Great Actor! VIVA ZAPATA and LA STRADA are my favorites!
and The Message
Oh, man.....La Strada is a FANTASTIC movie.
Watched Guns of Sebastian tonight. He was just brill. Always loved him. Tough
I loved him and Shoes of the Fisherman!
Muy agradable Anthony!!!
A handsome man! ❤
I think what makes a good father is creating a happy and peaceful household. So he must work on controlling his temper, being patient, not correcting but listening and understanding. The children will be influence by his demonstration of these qualities and will emulate them in their life and they will help to create a better world.
My favorite Film is La strada (1954)
What can I say about this great actor only be silence and let others talk about him 🥰
Most important actor of all time
In a league of his own.
Anthony Quin ❤️❤️👑👑
Hamza ibn Abdul Mutallib the most noble and honourable character he played.. Rest in Peace
the story of his dad buying the model T. so much like my own dad doing the same. it cost him a weeks wage, 5 pound.
He spoke lovely clear Spanish
Gorgeous. Anthony Quinn.
As Hamza...he is a good man..a big star...
Met him! He was like the pope.
Great Hamza
I Knew This Great Great Actor As Hamza In The Message, Which He Was Fantastic,
And As Omar al-Mukhtar In The Lion Of The Desert, Which He Was Incredible As Well,
He Enjoyed Playing Muslim Historic Figures, May GOD Bless His Soul.
He was great in “Lawrence of Arabia “ as well!!
Captain Mateli in Across 110 th street 👑Anthony Quinn rest well
Ya famous star. I liked him with the movie "the lion of the desert. But then the intro of this video I remembered it decades ago watching weekly summary of UK Football on Saturdays. But I think it is cut short.
Two of his greatest movies is The Message and The Lion of The Desert
A most underrated actor, but not in my book. 👍 👍
Arabic people we are love youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu hamzahhhhhhhhhh 😢😭 the lion of the
Desert . RIP Anthony 💔💔💔
Handsome man❣
Not illegal at the time, my grandfather came over from Canada without papers and later became a naturalized citizen. The law wasn't passed until the 1920s.
A brilliant actor . Watch 'Warlock' (1959) free on UA-cam. He's brilliant in that.
Requiem for a Heavyweight!!! TCM
A great and very intelligent actor. Wonderful interview. Also a notorious ladies man on par with Flynn, Beatty, etc.😏
Who are the women actresses he is speaking about?
ZORBA THE GREEK. My father, Evangellos, was a stern disciplinarian yet bundled within a silk vail of sentimentality. On a warm, sunny afternoon, I took him to the cinema to see Anthony Quinn play “Zorba the Greek”. During the movie, he calmly asked me what village Antony Quinn's family was from in Greece. "No Pop..he's Mexican and Irish”...I said. Well quite upset hearing this and with an anger ready to swing an arm toward my face for disrespecting him, I persuaded my dad to keep calm and watch the entire movie. He did not appreciate the way ELLAS, the ancient historic name of his birthplace ( he refused to utter the word Greece..."It's ELLAS", he would demand" ) was depicted casting the poor populous of Crete in such a disrespectful manner….BUT….in that classic scene when Zorba, with sparkles in his eyes, hungrily looking at the sea ...started running impulsively toward it.... tearing off his clothes....”butt naked” ….diving into the crystal blue waters of the Aegean Sea….and !…….well my Dad burst out laughing like a wild, crazed Zorba. He was beside himself ! Why….you could see his tears rolling down his face...hearing that explosive laughter all the way outside in the parking lot. Later on, he admitted to me that he, as a youth,..."did the same Damn Thing ! " Memories
GREATEST ACTOR EVER .OMAR MOKHTAR IS THE BEST MOVIE HE MADE
Sir Brellin - ZORBA, the greatest movie!!!
@@madambutterfly7513 The movie could have been better. Anthony Quinn's performance SAVED it.
Does anyone remember a movie where he played an Eskimo? I can't remember.

He was half Irish Catholic.
He was 100% Mexican. Last name Reina=Queen=Quinn.
You missed the point: He's last name was Reina, so he opted to americanize Reina, and he changed it to Quinn.
He was 100% Mexican Catholic.
BULLSHIT.
@@josecanisales3491 su padre se llama Frank Quinn. era irlandes. Deja la amargura a lado.
