Coolest thing is updating the Nigel voiceovers for some of the genera attached to other animals like the Juxia or the Tarbosaurus. That's a level of detail I wouldn't expect from most games, but the PK devs are kinda legends, so it makes sense.
To explain the lack of voicelines for plateo, it was originally planned to only be leaelly in u11 but they brought plateo in relatively late in update development, so they didn't have the time to get Nigel in to record lines for plateo

I'm definitely excited for this update! PK is starting to become a proper park builder AND manager. (No idea what's up with the bobbing hats, but it's certainly entertaining.) And new beautiful dinosaurs.... This game really has grown and changed so beautifully. Still has a ways to go, but now that logistics are coming in, it really feels like it's coming together. Those cinematic shots are gorgeous. Honestly I feel like you could set up a habitat and then just watch the cinematic for an hour. 16:11 I absolutely love the whiteboard, what a great addition. (And I remember that original PK logo! Wow that feels like a long time ago...) I really do love how the devs have put in the time and effort to give us random stuff to clutter up backstage areas. It does make a huge difference. And, as always, the dinosaurs are absolutely beautiful. The models, the textures, the colors, the patterns, the noises...... So much has been put into making these feel like the living, breathing animals that they were. I love it.

My only question is how they'll handle carnivore feeders, hopefully not just the same way as feeding the herbivores (though a few exceptions wouldn't be an awful idea) like if you needed to make sectioned off pathways to protect park keepers. something to think about when they add the breakout aspects to gameplay and physical danger to humans.
the movement of animals in PK feel much heavier than JWE in my opinion (save for spinosaurus and indominous... for some reason) like they actually feel like theyre pushing off their back foot, idk what evolution2 is doing but their walking feels... weird??
Tbh I think the modules don’t need to be so detailed with unique shapes, cause it makes it harder to build a unique shell around. The planet zoo modules have like no detail on the outside, so the shape itself is very simple and can be expanded upon, but like the compost heap is its own little building, limiting how much you can do with the visuals of it It makes sense that they’re trying to make it nice for people who don’t want to always have to manually build things around modules and just want to throw it down and have it look nice, but that’s the point of blueprints
I dont know how it is with the new buildungs, but you can reduce the amount of details Form the old ones, so that you can easily build a shell. So this is either already the case of will be in the future
A lot of players dont get as far into the modular building system, so the intent was to make the buildings look decent enough just plopped down on their own, while still staying firmly within the 4m cube grid so you can build around them.

Update 12 is the bigger one with 3 Genera ( anky and Bronto and Apato + coastal map and new theme) Update 13 doesnt have any new species but it adds some pretty cool mechanics.
Whats more important Update 15 is supposed to come this year, if everything goes well. It means in span of just 6 months game will recieve: - Improved Animal AI: enrichment, herding, socialising, diseases - Paleobotany - Ontogeny - Animal editing And other QOL stuff such as progression, 6 animals, new map and new scenery theme. So potentially in December game will be in very playable state.
With all of these new mechanics & features, staff management, guest selection & the Paleo Pedia especially. This game is becoming more like JPOG than JWE 1 & 2 were. I can't wait to see where PK goes from here.
maybe i should give it another go :D waited for the food prep stations so.... I'mm kinda curious if we're really getting a breeding system :) I want to see dino nests and little baby dinosaurs >.
We suspect the hat might just be a simple animation error, like it's starting at the wrong time in comparison to the character, should be a simple enough fix! -V
I wonder how the staff will work when the dinos can finally kill stuff and break out. Also, thanks for showcasing. I'm new to PK and used to JWE so all these mechanics are a bit overwhelming to me.

I think they could also make it as its often done in zoos, animals are kept in the backstage while the keepers clean and do other choirs.
