Thank you Eric, I really appreciated your suggestion. I will consider every single your word and I will catch up with everyone with my progress :) God bless you all! P.S. Your pronunciation of my name sounds very nice :) Thanks again!
A small advice I would like to add to Eric's is checkout open source apps in github, I can't tell you how this helped me a lot when I was a beginner, yes it will tough as you won't understand most of the code you see but you'll eventually get better, to give you more background about me I'm 20 years old I started self-teaching myself Android development on 2017 and I'm yet to publish any app on Google Play but I'm preparing for one soon :) good luck!
Hey buddy, something that's very useful to me as a beginner I'd Udacity.com. I learn a lot from tutorials and walkthroughs and not only do these give you a good visual, but they explain different things in great detail and they have external links to help u as well! Some stuff u pay for but most of the Android classes are completely free
@@JohnDoe-ej6vm Good morning Salman, I decided to specialise in web development and I have learnt the MERN stack. I am very satisfied, I have built full stack web applications and learnt how to deploy in the live production. I have made a lot of progress. I still dream to open my own business, this time in web development by the end of this year. I am learning also React Native that will allow me also to build IOS and android applications! It has been a very committing year and Eric inspired me to work harder and make my dream becoming true!
@@danceretreat that's a great achievement which is only possible with hardwork . my dear can you tell me in such a short amount of time how you planned and achieved your goal as you were from medical field. And second thing is what was actual reason of switching from android to web development ? And how Eric helped you ?
I was a tech recruiter for 2 years for the largest recruiting firm, finding Android devs was by FAR the hardest jobs to fill of anything in the tech field, including executive level positions. The competition for them between firms was so fierce that the salaries would rise every time the hiring managers had to post a new job.
My advice: You need to have passion and interest .You will learn faster....Exhibit A: Me... I am a retired seafarer with no programming background yet I managed to create apps because of my impulsive passion to code to be able to help my fellow seafarers all around the world. Sounds like a beauty pageant answer but it's true.
Great video, very honest and objective like always, with your answer you basically are quoting Napoleon Hill, if you have not read it you don't need it either, he explain the same as you did but more widely, any entrepreneur at this time should govern their daily life following those principles, for short: solid ideas/goals and focus your plan on it, try it, if you fail is because lacking of something, so evaluate your plan vs results, change/modify/adjust it and try it again, if you fail again then repeat the previos step, until success... The losers never win but the winners never give up... That is the only recipe to make it.
It might be a good idea. Java is more versatile (can be used on more software) but Kotlin could be the first language for Android one day. It will start with tutorials that just show Kotlin, I think.
Nice video sir.. I am iOS developer and I want to ask you are iOS developer will die becoz of Apple prices becoz everybody is preferring Android over iOS becoz of crazy prices?
Love how cool the video editing looks in your new videos very professional and really great advice as usual. You really inspire me without your advice and videos I may never of finished my first app. Thank you!
Hi! Can you give me an advice, I'm an IT staff more on networking and recently resigned cuz I want to become an App dev Android Platform. Can I learn by self studying or Should I enroll to boot camp or College? Btw I have no experience in programming. Hope you can help me

Great advice on “getting the reps in”. I’m coming back to Android after years of being iOS exclusive and I’m going through this process.

Since Google is really pushing Kotlin should people just start with Kotlin or learn Java first?

I love the advice and perspective! You were a guest speaker at Cambridge? Tell us more about it next time !
I agree, except apps are not forever on Google Play. Google kicked out all of my apps except 1 because I didn't update or didn't sign something new
I found your video very encouraging! Thanks!

Great advice! How about a more personal life story video on how it came to be that you're an American living in UK (?)
If i start learning now. How long until I become good enough to be a paid professional? And how many hours of coding per day?

Even due I already am a developer this was still very inspiring; thanks
What about flutter ?
What a lovable man!
God bless.
