Careful! I’m a UX Design hiring manager, and this resume might look nice, but cannot be read by automated HR systems. Your resume will not be seen at all if it doesn’t format correctly in a standard layout. Nobody accepts printed resumes anymore. Best practice is one of the three standard formats and focus your creativity on your interview/portfolio!

Hi I can't do 0:56 -1 min, can you explain exactly what you need to select for the shape tool to work? It just changes the color to all white and doesn't really do what it does for you.
Select the white background and the shape you just made with the (Pen Tool) only. Do not select all the blue background with it.
Im still no able to get it :(

Ok I got it, you just have to copy and paste the same circle and then scale up the upper one, in case you'd like to know

Duplicate the ellipse by (Ctrl+C & Ctrl+F), enlarge the upper ellipse by mouse drag and holding (Shift+Alt). Select the upper ellipse and the rectangle then remove the area with Shape Builder tool. For better understanding please slow down the video.
To select two objects at the same time press (Shift + Click).

Its been two days since I'm trying to do from 0.45 to 0.51 but cant, please tell which triangle to select? inner or outer ? I tried every way but still cant do?? need help how to select two objects??

I have design that resume in the older version of AI, but in the latest version it is very easy. You need just to drag the holders of the shape instead of cutting those shaps.

Powerpoint is not for making CV, i have make a CV in MS Word please practice on that.

@@DesignSense Well, you were saying that we can only make this in adobe illustrator, but you might be wrong because I had made exactly the same design in PowerPoint too!!
@@moazzumgillani4852 I didn't said that you can't make this in PowerPoint, i mean PowerPoint is not for making CV's. In PowerPoint we can make presentations slides etc. I have worked in PowerPoint for 6 years, i know how to use PowerPoint brother 😊, you have to make cv or resume in MS Word. BTW great 😊.

in 12:27 how do you select multiple object and adjust their properties easily?
Select all text with (Shift + Click) and then use the eyedropper tool (I) and click on the above text. It will copy and apply all the style.

When i used Direct selection tool A to delete apart of the Cirle then the line in the middle deleted too. How did you remain the line in the circle? Thanks you so much.
Just click select the anchor points on the upper circle and then delete it.

Hey please answer me, how to change photo? i cant even use clipping mask on my AI CC 2017, I really need the answer coz i need to create cv and i dont know how to use this software
you go to file>place, and choose your photo from your gallery and place it on the artboard you are making the cv
Just simple, place the object (i.e rectangle, circle, triangle etc) on front of photo and select both the object and photo and clipping mask by Ctrl + 7.
