I have been driving the 156 since 2002 - (a 1998 and a 2004) Excellent car and it looks still better than the others. Only minus - it is too heavy. I better like my Alfasud Sprint on that parameter.
This was my best Alfa out of nine, except for the fun Giulia Ti Quadrafolio. Only one design fault..... the milometer and speedo are difficult to see, being in the dark, especially with bright sunlight. Other wisw the Sportwagon was afantastic fast touring car and very comfortable.
I’m considering to buy one for its beauty and nice handling (especially in winter conditions). If you buy one in excellent condition they are still very cheap, say 2500-3500 EURO. How much was the annual maintenance and repair cost?
Still one of the best interior designs imo

hawe one , its like spaceshuttle
I had one in this condition. Better wheels too, it nearly killed my credit balance.. .but i do miss it!
Must be the "better wheels" As I have the same car (my 3 th 156), I don't have to touch my credit.

i had it just over a year and it cost me £3000 in service and mainly repair.
@@petethompson1282 thanks a lot for sharing. I understand buying the Alfa is just an entry ticket to the Tivoli of costs;-)
More revs!
