- Hello friends. Merry Christmas and happy (approaching) New Year! I’ve been meaning to make this video for a while now. It is time to bring my bag collecting journey to a close. I have enjoyed this community so much, and may still share bag content from time to time, but it won’t be the latest and trendiest designs, but things I already own.

I’m with you! For 24 years I have collected but I no longer find it as important special fulfilling etc. it was a fun ride but for me it is also over.

This was a great video! I can relate because that is where I am at . I will be turning 45 the summer of 2024, and I feel like I have been caught up in consumerism. I want to place more value on my money and create meaningful memories rather than spend money on items that mostly collect dust. I thank you for sharing! As a suggestion maybe consider doing videos on health and wellness, financial goals, things to look forward to as you continue to age, but also continue to review items that you already have while continuing to share what you wore for the day. I really like those videos! Happy Holidays!!!!

Great video❤. I am in the same mindset. Certain handbag videos I do not watch anymore. I am 45 years old now and UA-cam changed my spending habits which is why I have a lot of handbags and overspending.
Social media can really be a financial poison and sabotage the best intentions. I’m definitely an advocate for taking frequent detox breaks and closely guarding the content you consume. I’ve started looking at more minimalistic content and de-influencing channels and less “reviews” b/c I have to regain control!

Great video! I turn 51 Dec 27. Every year I had to have a LV bag or luxury, really LV under the tree to get that special Christmas shopping bag and LV is most of my collection. I still love LV and luxury, but guess what. I could not decide what “next bag” I wanted for Christmas/Birthday and will NOT have no luxury bag under the tree and I’m ok with that. I think I’m taking a step back and not doing all the buying for bags to sit on my shelf. I agree with you. All these bags are not a “NEED”. I enjoy ALL your videos. Doing videos on the bags and slgs , Outfit/bag of the day are a great idea. In addition, the topic of menopause is a good idea. Merry Christmas and Happy New Years. Hope you get better soon!
Aw, thank you for the well wishes! And HAPPY BIRTHDAY 🎉 🎄. I honestly think that one of the reasons I fell out of love with bag collecting is because doing it so frequently erodes the specialness. Plus, LV is pumping out soooo many new styles these days, who can keep up. I realize it’s to keep the attention of their target market (Gen Z???). Anywho, I’ll enjoy my current collection and opt out of the rest.❤️

Thank you for this video. The timing of your video is where I find myself. I turned 50 today and over the last 6 months leading up to today, I did some self reflecting about my spending. Prior to 2019, I only would buy a luxury bag maybe once every 2-3 years. But then I just fell into this rat race of buying and selling. And like you said it’s exhausting. And like you, the last luxury bag I purchased was the speedy 20 Damier ebene, and I only purchased it out of FOMO. I really don’t need the bag, but I don’t want to sell. Anyhow, that was the turning point for me that I just need to be more intentional about my buying. Over the last 2 years, I’ve done the buying selling game and am now down to 12 luxury bags. I don’t plan on selling and like you said I will probably buy a bag here or there, but not at the rate as before. I would rather put my money towards something more fulfilling. Thank you for dropping this comment. I’m glad I’m not the only one who fell into this trap. It’s crazy how addictive bag buying can become, but then again I guess it’s like anything else really. But it’s definitely time to take control of our finances, our spending habits and ourselves. I’ve been spending the last few days opting out/unsubscribing from marketing emails and planning out the rules of my low buy year. This time next year I hope to be sharing a different story!
Recently we moved out of state. Packing was crazy with all my addiction and bags were one of them. I got rid of some and you’re right it’s so different now with selling and the anxiety that comes with it. I’m trying to still downsize but I’ve been making better purchasing decisions. We did downsize from our home and it’s different, but I like it. Plus with all the crime you don’t want to be a target with the bags and stuff. I almost don’t carry them so much anymore too. I can’t wait to see where your channel goes. 😊

Our plan was to move in 2020, but we know what happened to that year. 😩 and now it is so hard to find smaller homes that are newer. Everywhere we look the homes being built seem to be getting bigger and bigger. 🙄 but I’m hoping something will come through. I guess the first step will be to downsize my bag (and clothing) collection😉 Happy New Year!!!!
