FYI- Its not limited to Florida, if more states were compelled to hold public hearings for judicial misconduct you will be shaking your head in disbelief. Arizona, Texas, Florida, and few other conservative states are aggressively moving towards public transparency for judicial misconduct hearings as well as attorney disbarment hearings. Before, it use to take legal actions (FOIA) to learn of these actions, but thanks to public interest in legal proceedings, cameras have been allowed into the courts and this is how more dirty Jurist are getting caught. The states mentioned also have "open meeting laws" whether it be town council, homeowners associations, school board meetings& etc., public meetings are governed by state statutes now. School board and some counties BOS still try to skirt these laws, so it important for the people to know open meeting laws.

Florida shows all of these types hearings publicly. Just because you see videos does not mean they are any more or less corrupt than anybody else. Us seeing this is actually an incredible prvilidge that most states and countries, even if they claim to be free and open, don't have.

Florida is more public. Corruption is everywhere. Our Supreme Court deals with it. However this judge should have been dismissed from office.
