Amazing stuff, John! Love your content. Can't wait to see the beast at Gridlife! Special shout out to Dave, great work! At some point in the future I'd love for you to tune my 23 Circuit.
Not a money shift. Lean tuning on a specific cylinder. Compression test will show this and the exact cylinder that is the culprit. Syncs should prevent accidental downshifts (money shift)
That is quite a lot of damage to piston #3. I hope that the block can be re-used with minimal work. Speaking of that piston, I have one from my former AW11 4AGE (completely stock) (I have it here at my desk - I'll upload a photo later). It also melted the ringlands and put a nice hole that you can see the wrist pin through. :) Not exactly my finest moment, but definitely a memorable one. :)
@@NemtecRacing what mods do you recommend for a 320hp tune nothing higher. I looking for reliability it’s a daily. I was thinking clutch, intercooler and charge pipes valve springs and downpipe with ECUTECK tune.
Dm me on instagram @john_pharaoh or Facebook (John Farrow) OTL downpipe, OTL intercooler valve springs and our tune and you’ll be safer than safe. If you don’t have a catback already MBRP!
I went for 4th in my GRC at 70-72 mph and accidentally caught 2nd for a split second which tops out at 59-60. It lurched, revved high, and I immediately pushed the clutch in. I don’t think I let out the clutch all the way in the moment, but I let it coast for a few seconds afterwards and then babied it the rest of the way. Normal driving ever since and even 1 or 2 pulls have felt fine, but it’s got me feeling dumb and stressed that something’s wrong even though it feels fine. I didn’t see where the RPMs went. Think it should be good or should I be worried? Also I’m very excited to see this build!
@josephtejeda854 I did think about it lol. More expensive than a 450hp coyote v8, more expensive than a built 13b rotary, more expensive than an sti engine.
@@scottcolpitts8521the motor has been out for 3 years… of course it’s expensive.. give it 5 years and if they start putting it in other models the cheaper and cheaper it gets

Between this one looking like it ran way too lean on one cylinder and mine having had issues running way too rich on one cylinder before it caught fire I’m starting to wonder if there’s a defect in some of the injectors
I’m a owner of a gr Yaris in Australia and I believe the short shifter in these cars are not great . Because they are short , muscle memory driver skills are worthless . I mean my floppy 5 speed in my Hyundai Getz is quicker to change and safer to change to any gear .
Awesome video!!! You guys are the only one showing us so much detail on G16E-GTS. A++++ job
Appreciate the support so much man!! Thank you
Nice on the block that's awesome you'll rebuild it
Oh yeah we are keeping it no matter what cause eventually someone will come out with a Stroker kit
@@NemtecRacingdid someone say stroker kit? 😅
Hell yeah. Love hearing that come back to life
Appreciate you watching all the way to the end!!

Can’t wait for the next update on your GR. I definitely want one and will continue to watch your content. Freakin awesome

That’s what’s crazy!!! 368 miles on the car no mods at all
Great video and looking forward to the dyno video. I can’t wait to see you rip in the new set up.
It is going to be wild!! I can’t wait thanks for sticking around
Love to see it! I'm guessing you guys have looked into the Works Bell Hub? We use those in the drift realm a lot.
Yeah ive been back and forth on hubs theres a company called zestek that makes some cool custom carbon ones with buttons so idk
@@NemtecRacing Oooo I'll have to check those out as well! Thanks!
Dang this is really exciting! Can’t wait to see the car up and running 🔥🔥🔥
Hopefully get it running by the end of the week!!!🤘
Love this series so far
Love the ambition 💪 keen to hear what you’re thinking of doing with GRC #3

blowing up a motor us always a fond memory lol
Now that's a hole shot the previous owner didn't want!
Hahaha 😂
Lets go baby!
You know it
I would look into getting that damaged motor machined and sleeved, I bet it could be done
Hope the block is still good!
I wish you were selling the circuit hood in ice cap.. I would be interested in it.
I bought the car cause I needed the hood lol

No eMAP? No cryo + WPC treatment?
Kelford head package awesome i have the same in my evo 8. What valves are you running with the upgrade springs and retainers
Kelford= best
Awesome stuff! Thanks!
thanks for the support
New sleeve and shes good to go. Hopefully a machine shop can get that repaired. It would still be hard to trust that block since only 600 miles
Yeah imma wait till somone comes out with like a performance sleeve kit

How are these little engines so f ing expensive!
Tell me about it…..
Because is a true Toyota engine like the 2jz💪🏽
It’s a 3 banger that pumps out 300 hp with almost 30 pounds of boost?? Think for a sec…

That 9.6 1/4 might be beat soon 😂
LETS GOOO!
You knooooowww!
I think what would really change the world would be this motor in a Scion iQ
I’d buy it
@@NemtecRacing i volunteer my personal iQ for the science.
Complete long blocks are like $20k from toyota, what am I missing here?
Toyota dealer quoted 42k to fix it
Sick man!

You think about 2jz swapping one of them? For the memes please?
thought about it cause i have a Jz in my shop.... but it def wouldnt fit well

Once the car is running it’ll be easier to make more content lol. And longer content

That was not caused by a money shift, definitely a lean cylinder
Yeah the guy must’ve been full sending it on bad fuel for a long time

Yeah the stock gear shifter and trans is definitely a weak point of this platform
Not money shift at all. Thats running lean 😢 You got so lucky my guy.
“Lucky” there is a lot of salvageable parts but imma have to wait to use this block till someone comes out with a sleeve kit
