You guys are awesome. I watch all your videos. My 2023 Corolla GR has a intercooler SXTH and full custom aluminum hot & cold side everything else is stock. It made 303whp on mustang dyno. Happy with that power level I’m not looking for anything more. I’m happy but I love watching you guys push the limits we learn so much about the platform.
Owned my 24 GRC Circuit for 2 months now and love it! Just really want to get a bit more power out of it without doing anything too crazy. Would like to have more torque down low and make about 400hp and definitely need to do an exhaust, it sounds a bit goofy and cartoonish when down shifting and coming to a slow stop! Your content is top notch and has really taught me a lot about this new to me platform. I’ve always had Hellcats and M3s and M4s so this is a big change for me but I needed it, I was getting bored. I’m very use to having 500hp+ so it feels so sluggish that’s why I think a reliable 400hp would be perfect for it!
Enable to make 400hp you’ll need a bigger turbo and with a bigger turbo you introduce a little more turbo lag because the car simply just doesn’t produce enough air to spin a turbo up faster
@@NemtecRacing Gotcha! So I guess there is no way around it unless I go 2 turbos which idk if that’s even been done yet or a 50 shot which completely takes reliability and daily drive-ability out of the equation? I’m totally new to this engine and platform
Hey Nemtec guys! Loving the videos. I wanted to ask a question about something you might be willing to try on a more stock car. I cannot find anyone who's willing to casually drop a transmission to test this. The Hydraulic Release Bearing, AKA the slave + throwout bearing combo that exploded on you, has a brass restrictor inside it. It's easily removable. I can email you some photos if you'd like! But I've owned the GRC for almost two years now and the clutch hydraulics have always felt just a LITTLE inconsistent, like a clutch delay valve but super minor. I was wondering if y'all would have time to test the system without the restrictor on your second GRC at some point!
Car is awesome, really makes me want a sequencial but just can't afford that. With the wiper panel though you can still use it as a frame or jig for the wipers setup you want, just cut out the non structural parts or even use it as a jig to make a new wiper support panel out of round bar.
Not a bad thing I think 8 speed autos have there place in the world. Especially if someone wanted to get fuel economy on the highway and a peppy fun car
I honestly wouldn’t mind having a dual clutch Trans in my 2024 GRC Circuit. I love that it’s manual but also know it would be a lot faster with a dual clutch
@@arctictruck10 true! Idk why I specified with DCT. Really what I meant was I wouldn’t mind having an auto in my GRCC. I’ll have to go take one for a drive this fall and make a decision after. Have you heard if they are making another circuit edition in 2025 with the auto? If not I’ll just keep my 2024 with the manual. Still gonna test the auto out. I love driving a manual but being 35 and daily driving a 2500 Cummins for 8 years I enjoy just being able to go without any extra work hahaha
dumb question, but with it being awd, is there an issue with rotating tires? Have been told that on some platforms with awd, if you blow a tire or want to rotate tires you basically cannot due to the differences in tire diameters' effecting the transmission.
i dnt hear a bov or i hear flutter then bov idk, is it safe to delete bov on these cars? if u r running a custom bov what do you suggest and at what point in mods would u suggest changing?
@@f82dot yeah you can do a few things but that was one of the main ones, you can have it turn off for the passenger as well, It's completely selective, I think you can also adjust the volume for the Toyota assistant because it is extremely loud for me

Sometimes I just move in my office parking lot or run to the gas station that is literally the next parking lot over and I don’t feel the need to buckle but have to bc it’s so annoying! Other than that, I love my GRC Circuit!

@f82dot a dct is not a smooth transmission, and this is why toyota is not using it.

You should speak to Charles about the Bosch Motorsport ABS unit he fitted to the GR Yaris. It really helped with the stability of the car.
Im gonna be honest it was kind of a pricey setup and for what i need and my goals its just a waste of a couple thousand bucks for me

We ran the stock bov until we went bigger turbo and the we got a universal turbo smart one that mounts in the intercooler piping not in the turbo

You could have turned off the seatbelt chime off with Carista, autel, or through the Dealer scanner.
You know you can turn the seat belt chimes off using copy of Toyota's tech stream software
