We had exactly that same model years ago. It was a great player, good volume and the dual tape decks made copying cassettes easy. We've still got the Panasonic mini hi-fi system we bought to replace it in the kitchen. I think the only reason we replaced it was because I wanted to be able to play mp3's on a USB flashdrive but had stopped using cassettes.

Had to see this. The cassette/radio was ripe for the bin, or that's what most people would have thought in this throw away world. What you did there deserves some kind of award, overwhelmed me, thanks for this great upload.
That's because they didn't. The end is shot first (including the spray painting of the unit for no apparent reason) with the testing, then it's dumped for a few months, dirtied up, then stripped and "cleaned" as we see at the front of the video. Destined never to work again, btw, not after submerging the tape mechanisms in water. Also, the sound coming from tape B seemed to continue well longer after the stop button was pressed; I've also never, and I mean NEVER, heard any dual cassette deck play BOTH tapes at the same time (ie: having the sound coming from BOTH). Usually, the player deck takes priority when playing a tape, even if the recorder is also playing - sound will only come from one (unless the mute switch on the player deck is disabled or not working, of course). To make this blurb more concise: bullshit.

How in the heck you would even remember where all those 10,000 pieces go?! If this is for real, I am totally impressed!
What a bloody awful restoration. The glossy spray painted body shell is terrible. The cassette decks barely work; the CD player does not work. Only the truly pathetic would use this vintage unserviceable boom box from 1989. Hideous.
He always finds something in the mud and walks straight to it, It's time for a different scenario men.
It's also the mud spread evenly across the entire device every time, I can even see what looks like a streak pattern from wiping it on. Also, no test of the CD... I say fake.
The battery compartment ist totally clean. Ofc it's fake.
@@alanluber5383 .......Even if it's fake, I find it amazing someone can tear apart something this complex and then put it back together. I actually have two radios like this, one a Panasonic(Basement workshop) and one a Sony(Garage workshop). The Sony has the antenna broken but it still works for tapes. I have searched online but can't find a replacement antenna.
Kinda flood hahaha

I started out like “16m long!” I honestly didn’t think that I could do it. During the moments that I felt the urge to skip over, I just couldn’t because I enjoyed watching the disassembling. It was like watching my life going from a really bad place to a whole new happy and healthy reassembled place if that makes any sense. I enjoyed this video so much that I went to hit subscribe and had already done it. I guest that goes to show that I knew a good video from start. Thank you for sharing!
What a bloody awful ‘restoration’. The boom box does not properly work, especially for the CD function. Truly hideous.
